We are all heroes. You and Boo and I. Hamsters and rangers everywhere.I hope Minsc isn't in this game.
In D:OS2 they gave you the option to create your own character (blank slate), but it was also possible to select one of your would-be companions as your origin story. As such both could be possible for BG3.Dodo, a year has passed and the company hasn't even chosen the frickin' protagonist. This leaves only two possibilities:
- The development is completely stagnant.
- The protagonist will be such a meaningless blank slate that inserting him later down the pipeline won't pose a problem.
Remember, at least theoretically, a significant part of the dialogue directed at the protagonist should be custom-tailored - unless he is a blank slate.
I had forgotten to mention the Hollow World Box Set, which includes rules for the Warrior-Elf class, so that all three types of demi-humans can just be fighters.B./X is not really about multiclassing, there's some options so your elves and dwarves arent just sub fighters after they reach their level cap, they got low level cap and supposed to learn a few more martial abilties learned from human races that to compensate for better saving throws and darkvision...Introduced in GAZ5 The Elves Of Alfheim , you can level your elf more as a druid, druidic spells in becmi were specific cleric spells(companion book). In GAZ13 The Shadow Elves, your elf can specialize as wizard(or was it in gaz5 already?) and no longer get martial abilities past the level cap.For dwarf cleric you have to look at GAZ6 The Dwarves Of Rockhome. Those arent houserules but real official material.Got any good houserules for multiclassing in B/X? It's weird how all demihumans are fighters.
and how many NPC you meet in any 5e module that talk about that? how many place show the effect of the spellplague? Not true. the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide talks plenty about the Spellplague, and how the Sundering has reversed some but not all the effects of the Spellplague.
Already gone over multiple times in the thread but yes, he was turned into a statue, and probably, but that won't be canon/he'll get resurrected like the returning characters in BG2.the only questions that matter are:
is minsc still alive
why
can i kill him
Ah yes that a set i am less familiar with, most adventures were in karameikos duchy and surroundings . I think they should reintroduce the basic set and mystara for 6E . Easy to make a few classes archétypes and resurrect the basic set, a simple and faster to play system.I had forgotten to mention the Hollow World Box Set, which includes rules for the Warrior-Elf class, so that all three types of demi-humans can just be fighters.B./X is not really about multiclassing, there's some options so your elves and dwarves arent just sub fighters after they reach their level cap, they got low level cap and supposed to learn a few more martial abilties learned from human races that to compensate for better saving throws and darkvision...Introduced in GAZ5 The Elves Of Alfheim , you can level your elf more as a druid, druidic spells in becmi were specific cleric spells(companion book). If the Star Wars sequels have taught me anything, it's that it's best to let this hope go. I can't imagine WotC or Sven having enough self-discipline to avoid cramming in as much creatively bankrupt fan service as possible.Tbh, I'd like to see this game have a non-worship-y relationship with BG1 and 2. It's good to have new characters as opposed to wallowing in the old and stagnating.
One of the reasons the sequel trilogy is the way it is is because of the religious devotion episode 7 showed towards the original trilogy.

He wasn't turned into a statue. That was the moron writing the adventure module making up headcanon. Minsc's statue in Baldur's Gate is 10 feet tall. I don't recall petrification not only turning you into stone, but also making you larger.

Once upon a time, fanservice was Princess Leia in a metal bikini. Nowadays, it is a purple haired stronk wymmyn who almost singlehandedly destroyed the entire Rebellion thanks to her arrogance. If the Star Wars sequels have taught me anything, it's that it's best to let this hope go. Wait… Disney Star Wars had fan SERVICE? I think we've watched two different trilogies.
Fan service in this context is used as in nostalgia bait.If the Star Wars sequels have taught me anything, it's that it's best to let this hope go. Clearly someone cast Enlarge Person on him first.
I'm going to be going in with the expectation that basically the game won't have a single moment without some reference to the first two games, and it will all be cringeworthy and terrible. The actual story and the gameplay will be pretty much only afterthoughts, their most important priority will be unfunny references. This way maybe I will be pleasantly surprised. If the Star Wars sequels have taught me anything, it's that it's best to let this hope go.
