In the Трън region. There are some weird obscure dialects that have their own writing systems, they are on the whole understandable however, the one from Tрън is like a different language.

Could you post any pictures of that writing system? Made me curious.

It's basically Bulgarian words with the Greek alphabet.

Ah, thought you meant some meme runic alphabet like in the case of the Szekely Hungarians.

Other Balkan languages have also been written in Greek, Cyrillic and Latin script before settling for one or the other, so it's not surprising that an alternative survived. As for the Banat one, they're unrepentant papists; so it shouldn't come as too big of a surprise that they'd abandon the holy azbuka.

It has almost no relevance really. If you know how to speak spanish you can understand it always. Just like you can understand british and american english.

I can't speak Spanish. I can understand. Two different things. As for British and US English, a better comparative would be between Singapore English and US English. Singapore English is extremely influenced by Chinese. Just like Mexican Spanish is influenced by Native Aztec languages and Argentine Spanish is influenced by Italian.

But the differences between Mexican and Spain Spanish are huge, just like the differences between Plattdeutsch and German, it's almost a completely different language. Even in small countries like Bulgaria, there is a dialect that I can't understand a word of, so it's not like the differences between British and American English.

My ex girlfriend was able to speak Riograndenser Hunsrückisch German ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riograndenser_Hunsrückisch_German ), when she lived in Germany, she could understand Germans but Germans had problem understanding her...

I'm not aware of prohibitions against the dialects, quite the contrary, there was a concentrated effort under socialism to catalogue them, I'd say it was even funded by the state and headed by "notable" (read: those within the party) professors of dialectology. As much as anybody can be a professor (in the sense of the scientific title) of such a thing.

Everyone who can speak German can speak/understand Standard German because the whole media is in Standard German, that's completely normal, but the dialects are ridiculously hard to make out. Plattdeutsch is a category of its own, but Sächsisch, Bayerisch and to a certain extent Frankisch are a bitch as well. And that's only in Germany, there are dialects in Switzerland that are incomprehensible to Germans.

Spanish from Spain.

Aka Castellana (or in english, castillian spanish), since even in Spain, there are different dialects (Andaluz, Gallegan, etc.) or even entirely different languages (Catalan).

Difference between Castillian Spanish and South American spanish is fairly minor (no vosotros, and some different words for the same things because of native influence on the language), while Mexican spanish is another step further away from each.

That said, I know very few Spanish gamers who can't at least read English.

Now that I've read up on Pathfinder Shifters, I'm not as much inclined towards them anymore. They aren't like in D&D or NWN where you got quite a lot of different forms, like driders, mindflayers, minotaurs, kobolds and other such fun things, they only get animal forms. Lame. I guess that's why they don't include them, it's kinda pointless when the Druid exists and can change into animals and other. That's why I'm now more ready to riot about how the Druid forms are shitty and there is no viable build in existence that makes them not shitty. At least not one that is known to me.

Shifter is literally a worse shapeshifter than a druid too stupid (Wisdom 9) to cast spells, and it has no other abilities. It has no purpose. Paizo outright admitted the class was a failure.

The romances in kingmaker weren't super lengthy or involved. More options means more chances for something like tiefling waifus, and I doubt it'll be an expensive goal.

Incidentally I'm on my second Kingmaker playthrough and after paying closer attention to their dialog I'm trying to get Regongar to kill Octavia in the funhouse. I changed my mind, whoever said she was the worst companion was right.

You have to romance regongar to achieve that.

How he kills her exactly and why? I'm curious but I really don't want to sleep with orcs just to find out. No info on the web.

EFIGS is the quintessential dilemma that most all modern cRPGs and such have to square off against somehow or another that want to reach the highest absolute levels of prestige and audience reach---with Japanese or, increasingly of late, Chinese being the other big market concern. Spanish or French probably makes among the most sense from what I gather in terms of their P&P Tabletop scenes being well established niches, especially if they are being honest with themselves as not being able to ultimately handle the entire spread or beyond. Could also have something to do with Paizo outright in terms of Pathfinder's comparative regional penetration outright, like how D&D was officially left to rot incredibly prematurely in Japan back in the day and the likes of Sword World came about in part to fill that vacuum.

Godforsaken heretics. Cleric archetypes are what ya'all should be excited about. Or wary. Kingmaker variations were pretty lame.

Blossoming light seems like the ultimate choice for a dedicated slayer of undeath. Despite inane shit the description says about the class like it being about goodness and redemption it actually is all about purging undead and demons in the holy fucking fire! Deus Vult!

Angelfire is similar but somewhat weaker.

Cthulhu cultist could be fun since there are fans of Lovecraft in the team but they won't go that route.

Undead Lord could end up becoming the lich, even though this variation is lackluster.


Does anyone know other interesting cleric archetypes?
