It's not capitalism bad, it's big monopoly company bad.

"Mom and pop store on main street, every man can be successful if he tries hard enough" capitalism is awesome. "Globalist mega-corporations that control everything and everyone's a worker" capitalism sucks ass. That's what both the Left and the Right seem to be slowly realizing in real life, and more where Outer Worlds is coming from. See also: Shadowrun.

Capitalism always eventually evolves into the latter. Well, except for the "everyone's a worker" part.

What the hell are you talking about? On the contrary, people's politics are only becoming more extreme due the increasing decay of capitalism.

Politics are always extreme. It's called, life, you mollusc. lol
Real life isn't the 'dex. Mainstream political parties tend to degenerate into bands of professional demagogues promoting moderateness as to obtain a larger segment of the voting electorate. Radical movements only come to the forefront during times of prolonged social instability. Mainstream left or right - the same centrist shit.

LoL the games problem is that it is written by dumb people with extremely low real life experience. Are you saying that it is a good writing to have advanced civilization that could travel to other star systems and colonize, but doesn't know that you need fertile soil to grow shit and that you could make it fertile by decomposing biological material??? Or a lush planet filled with wild life is dying of hunger..... That is like telling me a cavemen invented teleporting devices lol. This garbage is the writing of a person that hasn't seen a whole vegetable in his real life and had never cooked lol. Most likely fast food retard.

It is not cliche,it is cringy lol. In the end it just shows how the writing level of obsidian had fallen.

Torment: Tides of Numenera

In the first video exploring the design of The Outer Worlds, we sit down with Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky to discuss how a team of fewer than 75 developers collaborated to create their sci-fi RPG.

Which is why you regulate capitalism without going full socialist retard. :salute:

The extremism is a reaction to uncaring globalist expansion and corporate takeover. I'd even argue most of the SJW war bullshit is rooted in corporate entertainment PR games and corporate news clickbait.

I’d say more than anything, the big problem is how weak the antagonist, i.e. The Board, is. They’re both extremely incompetent and lolrandumb evildoers. It’s totally fine to make a completely morally black villain, but then they need to be entertaining or engaging and the Board is just fucking boring.

Caesar’s Legion is pretty much pure evil, but Caesar himself is at least interesting enough that you want to know more about what his deal is, and the Legionaries are very competent especially compared to the decadent and corrupt NCR which is riddled with in-fighting.

There's literally no sign of things heading that way anytime soon. Back in the 20th century, even after the implementation of social democratic policies post-WW2, the neoliberals undid it all in the 70s/80s. Capitalism is a monster that refuses to be held down by regulation. It's taken the Earth's environment to the brink of disaster in just 200 years, and if we don't get rid of it as fast as possible then it'll take us down with it.

Yeah, my first playthrough was a ruthless mercenary who sided with them and there wasn't much to it. I'd guess they assumed the vast majority would side against them and didn't devote proper resources. There were a few good routes they could've gone down, included one they hinted at with the doctor being insane and cutting loose a percentage of colonists to save the rest, but in the end the board ending says "lol they were pure evil suck it."

the game is just shit, it's got nothing to do with politics - it was made by faggy men and women

no women should be involved in the work dynamic of making video games, end of - though, and only maybe, if I was in charge, I'd perhaps entertain having them around in limited capacity as occasional office decoration to provide the environmental stimuli to increase the test production of the men developing the game via introducing the anxiety of sexual competition in the back of their minds, of course taking all the necessary precautions to nip all possibility of the henhouse effect of mixed sex work environments tainting the product

Lots of previously unseen early build footage in the Noclip video.

Tim says Terra 2 was originally going to be a Monarch-sized open world.

They used Scylla as a dumping ground for all the quests that were in areas that got cut, lol.

Here is the proof that you shouldn't touch Obsidian games with a ten-foot pole:

P1. cRPGs are art.

P2. Art is influenced by the morals and habits of our times.

P3. Current morals and habits are degenerate.

C1. Ergo, current cRPGs are degenerate.

C2. Therefore, current cRPGs can only be enjoyed by degenerate individuals. QED

Leonard says they may have done one cut too many. The last round of cuts was "painful". He seems to imply it had something to do with companions and companion reactivity.

Tim, on the other hand, is totally happy with the final game.

Free market, private property rights, and personal responsibility are awesome.
Words like "Capitalism" and "capitalist" are used mostly by left-leaning speakers in a pejorative sense. They have one thing in common - they don't seem to like personal responsibility all that much, and want access to other people's property without said people's consent, usually under a benign pretense - the interests of "the people", "the nation", whatever.
