Started playing Zeno Clash, and, boy, am I in love with that setting or what. I havent even managed to think about combat, im that blinded by the sheer awesomeness of this insanity.

Any more games with such unique, strange settings? Bonus points if the game is actually good.

EYE Divine Cybermancy seems like something that would fit, havent played it yet.

or if by "unique, strange settings" you mean "batshit insane", it will be Jazzpunk, Off-Peak, Toonstruck, Harvester or Bad Day In A Midway

Beautiful Desolation. The game itself is... it's alright. I'm not an adventure games expert, so I don't have much to compare it to, you click on stuff and characters to progress the story. But the setting is weird as hell and the graphics and atmosphere are amazing.

Heh, first thing I thought of upon seeing the title of thread was Zeno Clash; should have known it was the game to inspire the thread in the first place.

I think pretty much anything from Ron Gilbert/Tim Schaefer/Double Fine would fit the bill, but I'm sure you're familiar with those. Xeen, Enroth, and the greater MM cosmology were also weird, albeit somewhat subtly so. Bot Worlds of Ultima games (particularly Martian Dreams) have unusual settings for videogames, albeit clearly inspired by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
King of Dragon Pass (Glorantha) is weird in that it presents as a fairly standard fantasy setting, but its creators put strong emphasis on anthropological, historical, and technological progression.
More recently Return of the Obra Dinn is delightfully weird (go in blind if you can).

You Are Empty
there is no lightning, they're just textures.
When I found that out, man...

Boppin', a puzzle game that's...well, just crazy.
The Cassandra Galleries, a game in the style of The 7th Guest set in a gallery, and then...someplace.
Dare to Dream, set inside a boy's dreams. Very good despite the weird artstyle.

The guy who made this game has several games out, one of them on Steam. One of the weirdest things I ever saw and an enjoyable Let's Play too. Used to watch that in the evenings before falling asleep.

Yeah, I remember him! There are two other ones, Gingiva and Where They Cremate The Roadkill (see pics below).

This guy is seriously overdone his acid.

I think he was inspired by the cult classic Yume Nikki (the 2004 game, not 2017 pile of shit remake):

Hollow Knight is fantasy, but with bugs in it (different kingdoms are based on different insects)

Dark Sun - not too many desert settings, and Dark Sun was unique even by those standards, cool critters, psionics

Wizardry 6-8 - the scifi setting mixed with magic (or the other way round) still feels weird to me these days, Might & Magic did the same to a degree

Warhammer - It feels overused these days, but there was a time when Warhammer 40k felt weird due to how over the top it was and how it mixed fantasy and scifi

Moanders sleeping body (and its ecology that fights you) in Pools of Darkness remains IMHO one of the most memorable and weird places in all of the Goldbox games

The game Slap City has a setting that simply adjusts how hot the controller is.
