This is a totally subjective list about how good certain elements of a game are. You can totally rate games other people have rated before - it's your opinion. Name a game and rate 1-5 on the following stuff.

Exploration: Is there interesting stuff to explore? Does the game make you eager to stick your nose under every rock?

Story: Is the story engaging? Do you like the cut of its jib? Does it have cool quests or multiple ways to solve them?

Combat: Do you like the mechanics of combat? Does it offer many builds? Do you love the way it feels?

Diablo II actually has a pretty intricate world, I replayed it recently and was surprised how many details I noticed in story/art/world/environments. It should be played like Diablo, at a slower pace (simply walking instead of running will do) to truly appreciate the craftsmanship.

Much more concerning on that list is rating Disco 4/5/1 when it should really be 1/5/0.

I was honestly torn on it because the movies are great, but the in game quests are shit. I could give it 1/3/5 just for having really cool lore.

But the exploration? You walk around a square or narrow passage and find chipped junk in every chest. It doesn't reward exploration at all. It rewards grinding.

I forgot that I completed that crap once.

I could never complete Oblivion. It is beyond my powers. I can't do it. It is so shit. It has always been shit. I would gladly play release day Gothic 3 than that shit. Actually, that is what i did back then.

Also i think i forgot to rate Deus Exes

Deus Ex - 2/5/2
Deus Ex Human Revolution - 3/5/4
Deus Ex Mankind Divided - 4/5/4

The rest don't exist.

Yep! Grimoire opens up after the first tablet and you can wander around finding all kinds of optional caves and secrets with interesting items. But fuck dragonflies. Seriously, fuck them.

I'm not advocating for his ratings but exploration-wise, there's quality and quantity.
Like Morrowind, quantity of shit to explore.
AoD, on the other hand is neither linear nor open-world but cities are full of interesting content even if none of them is Tarant and there's plenty of areas to unlock.

Sure thing, but there is difference between finding a destroyed village with a cave of undead in gothic 3 and finding a secret switch in the form of a rock. Sure both of those game have ok exploration aspects, but they are not shining examples of good exploration. If you want exploration you play BP games,MM games or jeff vogle's games.

Yeah my bad mate, haven't slept in a few day when i wrote the post and thought of grimrock. Grimoire does have a decent exploration. Still tho the ratings are all over the place,go play more RPGs ;).

Arcanum 10/10
