Time to end centralized network. This will keep happening as long as we keep using the centralized model.
dWeb and similar solutions cannot come fast enough. I want the internet back.
I remember after 8chan was wiped off the net there was a concentrated effort by a portion of its user-base to move to a decentralized platform using ZeroNet. It was interesting to observe and in practice worked alright. It was definitely a reactionary movement to rebuilt a site that had just been obliterated, but I wholeheartedly believe that this can and will be replicated in the future. It only fell off over time because other clearnet alternatives popped up, but otherwise it would of continued. I really do think a migration will happen, the time will come, it seems almost inevitable. I think the use of Tor will and hidden services will be used when the centralization completely grips the rest of the clearnet. It is something to look forward to, in light of a bad situation.

I don't think mass migration will happen until solutions are in place that allows for seamless use of both systems at once, allowing an overlap for different services.

Soon lots of old demos and shareware games will be gone forever.

Its not just that, there's quite a few games only on there, not to mention old gaming magazines. And if we weren't nerds with tunnel vision, tons of old magazines, books and other literature you can't find anywhere else. If IA gets fucked, a lot of things will likely be lost forever. All because they had to upload some crap that's still in print.

Yeah, the internet archive contains huge amounts of content that would otherwise be lost. Dead websites, removed articles/posts...

Modern copyright is an atrocity, this is just one more (really large) reason to oppose it.

Adult Content: This is an action game in which players assume the role of Ken Kaneki, a human investigator with the abilities of a ghoul. From a third-person perspective, players battle ghouls and boss characters in frenetic combat. Characters use tentacles and various weapons (e.g., clubs, swords, guns, grenades) to kill enemies in melee and ranged attacks. Battles are highlighted by frequent blood-splatter effects, cries of pain, realistic gunfire, and explosions. One ghoul is depicted wearing lingerie with deep cleavage, and is described as the “Nutcracker, due to her strange appetite for men's testicles.” The word “a*shole” appears in the dialogue.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
Random quote I found from a guide to adventure games written in 1993:

Really hip, inside-type people refer to games by their initials. If you do it enough, guys from Atari will find you and force you to lead the company to profitability.

Looking back, maybe those Atari-guys should have.
