Well, they're releasing ports not remasters so a version combining FES and Portable will probably never be made.

If they're going to do it then they should take the opportunity to make an actual definitive edition of P3 instead. Game's in a weird spot having two separate versions. Anything less and some people will end up disappointed that something's missing.

I certainly won't miss "The Answer", that's for sure.

Looks like Alicesoft now has western branch, and its first release will be Evenicle 2.

Crystal Chronicles remastered doesn’t have any local co op

Their excuse is that the free demo of the game will let people play with whoever owns it, while casually hiding the fact that even if you play this way the entire final act is unavailable?

Is it just me or does the demo for
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III look outdated? I'm watching combat animation and it just seems.... meh.

I would probably buy it just to give support but playing it.. eh.

I think I have finished Persona 3 6 times in total
- 2 times on original P3
- 2 times on FES The Journey
- 1 time on FES The Answer
- 1 time on FEM MC on PSP

Yeah I like Persona 3 that much. But I have seen everything the game has to offer at this point. Maybe I will play it once for the non-Aegis epilogue on the rooftop.

You prefer FES or P3P?

All in all, they are mostly the same game. Overall I would say P3P. Female MC gives you an opportunity to know the rest of the party members better (male party members didn't get SL in normal P3). You can save Shinji as well.

The lack of overworld exploration is surprisingly an improvement. Like, in Persona games the actual walking in town doesn't really do anything. It is novel when you play the first time but it is a chore when you got multiple playthroughs like me.

Controllable arty member of course is a fucking boon. Micromanaging the strategy, while works, gets tedious real fast.

There is lack of the Answer which is unfortunate tho. IMO The Answer works for me not because of the explanation of the MC passing but for the rest of the casts. You see how much Junpe grows, you see how Mitsuru and Yukari develop their relationship. I kinda dislike Aegis and Metis but they are OK too.

But even more importantly, it seems like something is going on with Live A Live and US trademark. Will we finally see official localization?
https://www.nintendoenthusiast.com/live-a-live-trademark-united-states-trademark-square-enix/

As previously discussed, Live A Live has never been released outside of Japan, and besides a re-release on the Japanese Virtual Console, little has been done with the property in an official capacity since then. Revered Final Fantasy IV designer Takashi Tokita directed the extremely unique title, which tells a variety of distinct short stories set in different timelines with different tones and atmospheres. Comedy, horror, science fiction, cowboys, and, uh, Street Fighter II all converge in this one title, adding up to an experience with really no direct comparison anywhere else in the whole pantheon of gaming.

Live A Live is presently only playable in English via fan translation and emulation. However, since Square Enix intends to make new game announcements this month and August, perhaps the game will finally receive an official localization and release in the United States and abroad? A full-blown remake is also possible, as in the case of Trials of Mana, but there’s really no telling at this point.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Game looks charming, smooth and pretty. 2D action platformers are usually not my cup of tea but this seems sweet enough to get a can.

Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk delayed to spring 2020 in Japan
No longer planned for July 25.

I think this is definitely for the better considering Nippon Ichi's recent releases.

Another delay, now to an unannounced release date: https://gematsu.com/2019/11/labyrin...-delayed-to-unannounced-release-date-in-japan

Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk delayed to unannounced release date in Japan
No longer planned for spring 2020.

Considering Nippon Ichi's recent struggle, they sure realize that getting this game out half-baked like its recent releases could be its death knell.

Interestingly Fortune Summoners (which got a prestige review by Crooked Bee) gets a Japanese language only release on Steam by its developer.

Thinking that Carpe Fulgur's 2012 English-only release was still a frontier of Japanese games on Steam at that time, this shows the time has changed a lot. Also hope this means that the developer is going to make and release more games on Steam I guess?

What's with the banning of games on steam that are deemed "too risque?" Seems some bitch in Oz has infected fuckers in florida with their bullcrap opinions. Steam is pulling anime stuff I guess. Lotta Japanese artists not happy.

It makes me wonder what games I should consider snagging before they're gone. I'm not a VN guy but Atlier has piqued my interest. On gog I should get the last Trails game i guess.

Steam now has literal porn games in their store. Most of them are shoddily made 3d cheap arse shovelware but they are there.

I think the problem with Japanese VN in general are putting underages on sexual situations. A lot of VN have high school setting and lolis which are usually the target of the ban.

Something like Atelier games should be safe but VNs are more in danger I guess.
