total war never was historical in the first place lmao

button awesome abilities and general fantasy fit the games much better than the pseudo-historical cringe of rome era war pigs and the complete mishmash of medieval 2

I'll play TW again when they allow captains to take detachments/small stacks anywhere and actually give us more polish with cutscenes and goodies. Fuck the TW3 engine. TW2 engine yo MTW2 and RTW1 are all I need with their mods.

At least they tried in older TW games. Shogun 1 - Medieval 2 had diplomacy that was somewhat understandable, family trees, civil wars, fatigue options, and limited ammo for artillery and bows. Now we have 9 foot tall Amazon women riding around on dragons, hero abilities and buttfucked unit powers (not to mention the AI seems to get worse with every new title).

If it comes down to a simnple choice between bad history or clown world, I'll take bad history for 300, Alex.

TW AI was never good. Certainly not on the campaign map.

I thought that battle AI in Medieval 1 and Shogun 1 was decent. But that was so long ago and there was hardly any competition that I knew of, that I might be looking through rose tinted glasses.

There's an e-shill livestream going on now, a bunch of other "influencers" should be releasing campaign playthroughs soon

At least he laughs at people playing the game he's shilling.
And we will get a lukewarm review from him when it's released.

Some people should be more open and less conflicted about their guilty pleasures. Embrace your inner popamole Ed123
