They should hire W3EE guys to work on whatever crap they will roll out to refine it. TW3 base mechanics were all there they just needed proper balance, tuning and slight rework to make out of it something good (but not amazing) like W3EE guys did.
CDPR are big boys, they know what's wrong with their games. It's evident by mods made by (former) individuals that worked in CDPR before. They just don't want to fix shit because it's time and money consuming, and a corporation will fight for every saved penny. To redirect the another million of zloty from budget to respectable people of course. There are no respectable people among their game designers, apparently.

Nepotism it's called.

Wasn't FCR for TW2 made by CDPR guy ? If i remember this right.

And it was the guy who made FCR for the first Witcher (before he was responsible for combat in 2).
And they were all shit.
True. But my point still stands. W3EE guys (mr.edgy_nickname and the company) won't make the difference by being cdpr employees - they will earn wage by doing what the corporation orders them to do - tie in story pieces into the simplest gameplay loop possible. In the most short time possible. And we will lose some potentially great modders to corporate money slurping machine.

This is awesome, the game isn't even out yet and people are already hoping modders will fix it. That's how much confidence people have in this game. Every bit of gameplay they showcase makes more and more people lose interest in it.

Cyberpunk 2077 is all style and no substance, it will be about as deep and engaging as an AssCreed, and equally filled to the brim with leftist propaganda.

If this will be mechanically fun to play is entirely other question.

Yeah, it is. But that really is the thing that puts me on the fence with this. Everything else looks either good or passable enough.

But if gameplay fails, no amount of their storytelling, production values and gratuitous nudes is going to save the game.

nah, good games aren't good because their lowest lows are better than most of other games lowest lows.
Good games are good because their highest highs are better than most of other games highest highs.

In other word it is not about how on average elements of game are good but how certain elements of it are so fucking great that rest doesn't matter.

Game will live or die by its best element not the worst.

I’m not sure it’s quite that clear cut with a game since the gameplay is, quite obviously, a very central element of the experience that ”brings” the player to the ”good stuff” if such exists in the first place.

Generally speaking, that is. I know there are some people here and elsewhere who don’t care about gameplay, if - for example - the narrative design or writing (or even the visual design and graphics) are winning them over for a reason or other. Witcher 3 being an excellent example of that.

"Another CDPR executive, Adam Badowski, said it's important for the company to embrace and support diversity and inclusion, in will lead to better products."

The class thing is really dubious thing to waste tears about. Original ruleset doesn't make much distinction between roles other than one unique skill. Das rite, roles are not classes and more of a "roleplaying in yer head" thing. Interlock Unlimited (fan-made extention) even does let you create your own roles. Why would CDPR refuse to make another button that leads you to another window that lets you define your own role like in Morrowind is cutting every corner possible and simplify the nuances for the north american (+their satellites) market. That race mix catalogue suggests that their market is coomers beating their meat to interracial porn. No wonder, their brain convolutions are straight lines, just look at the gameplay of many coomer games, simplest possible.

Cdprojekt launched two big and critically acclaimed expansions for Witcher 3, I expect them to focus even more one expanding cyberpunks world with new classes, stories, quests. The next generation enhanced version alone will give new life to the game next year and keep sales and money coming in.

I didn't know SJWs played video games that aren't undertale. Too bad they've subverted CD Projekt Red, looks like instead of the usual dull cinematic story we'll get a cringe cinematic story.
I was looking through the artwork of cyberpunk 2020 and it looks way better than the actual video game.
Gameplay in FPS RPGs have sucked for a while now ever since they stopped being ARPGs and instead tried to be like Halo.
Looks like garbage, but it's being released on PC as well at least so maybe game mods will be able to save it.
