For the love of god release the demo to the general public in a month or two. You will be so much better off for it in the long run.

No. Release it when you offer EA on Steam. It will be novel and help you bring in revenue to quit to your daily and focus on this full time.

This clip got me thinking, is there going to be any kind of a journal in the game? I hope there's at least a "notes" section where you can write your own text so anything you write gets saved within the save file itself. Custom markers you can add on the map? Though I'm not sure if that's appropriate in this kind of game..

Yes, of course, there will be a self-annotating journal of all the important events and conversations.

Whoa, whoa, easy here. Let's not go overboard with HD poly count, shall we?
The road tile has a grand total of 32 polys!!! Nothing a RTX3090 can’t handle.
It's a slippery slope is all I'm saying. One minute you're increasing poly count just a bit and the next you find yourself putting bloom and motion blur everywhere.
Worry not, I’m a man of taste.



Jokes aside, I’m just fixing things that I should have fixed since day one.

I think it looks better. I've seen many indie games go way overboard with low poly count in their retro games, some better detail doesn't hurt as long as it stays within limits of the anticipated look of the game.
