Nowadays, when physical format exist only on consoles. people a gathering moar and moar digital licences (doesn't matter if they call it 'owning a gaem', what a delusion). They'e buying 60$ stuff, cheaper stuff on sales but eventually ending with like hundres of titles.

Ok guys, after spending thousands of bucks, what did you really gain?

- Virtual collection? It's like virtual sex, basically an oxymoron.
- Ownership? Heh, NOPE!
- Earning prospects? You cannot resell stuff.
- Stability? It's wont happen after year or two o even five but what if e.g. Steam close their services in 2030, are you sure it's imposible? Wii shop's dead and Wii U / 3DS e-shop have been already closed in 32 countries.

So, what's the point of that?

Grab the Codex by the pussy
Nobody is calling it a "collection" the same way you call your baseball cards a "collection" you retard. It's just a way of tracking the games you've played, because if you have an RPGCodex account you should be into playing video games and probably would enjoy having a way to keep track of those games. And of course, game developers are our friends (If they're not SJWs) and I would love to support them if I can. Besides, if Steam ever closes their services we got more important things to worry about than losing those Steam achievements, honestly.

But of course we all know you're poor and stupid and that's why you feel the need to call the pizza boxes you've bought a part of your "collection." Fucking retarded pirates.

The point is not to waste money on stuff that some greedy basement dwelling nerd deemed worthy of a 1000 currency regardless of quality or actual value.
You can also circumvent digital stuff protection easily while physical stuff is useless when it breaks.
