Pretty funny... also funny how even after 20+ years of home internet and lots of internal testing one assumes, a company like Microsoft can still be thrown back by the reaction to gameplay demo.

What are they going to launch a new console with now? An upgraded version of Cyberpunk? They can't delay the console if Sony launches on time... what a shitshow.

Halo fans complained about the graphics now they are complaining about the delay. Sometimes studios shouldn't listen to fans.

Don't think Nintendo will ever go back to a dedicated living room console. The switch is printing money as it is, I would bet on an upgraded switch.

What do you think Nintendo will put against XboneSeX / PoS5? Switch Pro or entirely new console?
Nothing, Nintendo isn't competing with anyone since they own the handheld console market.

Maybe they'll put out a new upgraded Switch when the parts they use to make the current one become harder to come by, but other than that I don't think they give a shit anymore. Their fanbase will eat up anything they put out.

There are some leaks that suggest the new X is $599.

As expected in my case, always thought that 399-499 price range is way too optimistic when it comes to the tech inside of it.
This way the cheaper S makes more sense where they go all digital and price it at half of X.
Doubt that Sony wants to undercut and will keep the price of PS5 at same level as X.

Gerstmann on the Giant Bombcast the other day said his sources were telling him even higher than that, which would be crazy. Releasing at $600 (plus peripherals and online sub) during this pandemic is pretty ballsy, but I know they plan this shit way ahead of time. I know there's a cheaper model coming, but I wonder how many will be happy getting a much less powerful machine.

It's weird that neither MS or Sony has divulged the price for their new consoles, looks that they are scared of consumer reaction. We are little more than 2 months to release?

Looks retarded to have so many people in a 3 min presentation of basic UI features. It's actually beyond retarded to hear one of those guys talk about 40% less memory.

Think main point for UI remake was to make it faster and more responsive. Integrate everything into one so it just loads everything at the start.

Both Xbox and PS4 UI are a drag where constantly you press something and you wait for it to load. Everything is a different app and all those transitions take up up alot of dead time.

Xbox got a quick quide where you can avoid most of that shit and it pops up a list instead where you open, close, switch most of the things on dashboard but its not as smooth in app switching like you're used to on your phone or PC.

PS4 dashboard can get unresponsive as fuck sometimes by just wanting to go from store to downloads to game info and there is no quick quide alternative here. Just basic system browsing.

So Microsoft has gone from "...TV...TV...TV..." to "...phone... phone...phone..." Maybe next xbox they would focus on the games.
