I've been wanting to spec-out a build based around the brown-haired dude they use in all the promotional material in place of the protagonist, and a fighter clad in heavy armor, with a flail and shield is what I want to work with.

Only problem is you’re pretty much restricted to the MC. Can make Kanerah a Sensei for House to give party immunity to disease.

I typically prefer generalist for the same reasons. Do not overlook Scroll Savant though. Kingmaker has you swimming in scrolls. That will greatly improve your output. Having good UMD will also let you take advantage of all of the divine scrolls too.

Yeah, Fighter is decent since it takes a lot of feats and you’re the only class that can use all that DEX (that you need for two-weapon fighting) due to Armor Training.

I would bother restricting yourself to just Flails since you start with Martial Proficiency and Weapon Focus doesn’t do much.

Jubilost shows up at the river once troll trouble starts, since he's being attacked by the kobolds that are allied with said trolls.

I did everything that the game allowed me to do before Stag Lord, so I was already level 5, and I just sell everything my chars can't use.

I can't buy anything all the items are shit.

I know the game is known to be bugged (again?) but maybe someone knows of a solution. My hotkeys for quick save and load dont work. I tried to rebind them but it still wont work and I dont use any mods so that shouldnt be the reason. Has anyone an Idea or the same problem?

Yea, happened to me as well, just report the bug to owlcat.

Turns out I am retarded. In the options theres one for quicksave slots and (for whatever reason) the default is 0. So if its the same for you turn that up and you can save and load.

Playing on challenging and might turn it up to hard, enemies are too easy now so I just auto-battle in RTWP.

AI sometimes makes smart plays, but still seems poor overall. Hope someone makes an AI mod for TB.

The good items come from artisans. Turn on KM.

Conjurer is my favorite specialization. You have useful spells at every single level, and the move action teleport is extremely useful. Wasted spell slots isn't a concern as long as you pick the right schools. (Divination and Enchantment or maybe Necromancy)

The only mandatory things to buy at this point are the bags of holding. The merchants offer some useful items, iirc, but there's nothing that important before chapter 5. The kingdom is the biggest money sink for most of the game.

B) Go there
C) Talk to the named guy
D) Do his quests
E) Wait until he makes stuff.

Only exception is Bokken the alchemist that stays at Oleg's before you recruit him.
