Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Wasteland 2 came out and it was ok.

They're making Bloodlines 2. But they fired Brian Mitsoda.

That was probably the closest we got to the old band getting back together and making a classic.

OP was off. 15 years ago would be 2005, which was already the first year of decline. Now imagine someone from 1999 or 2001... Instant suicide.

What? Fallout is now an MMO shooter? The only functioning genre is something called battle royales? Poles are the only ones making bearable games? AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Planet Earth has been invaded by a hostile alien lifeform called covid-19. It's mainly been killing boomers for some reason.

Ok i see where this is going:

But at least it will be the commercial breakthrough for VR technology. Naturally with some other necessary adjustments in certain areas.

There is this post-apoc game that was released in 2007, STALKER you should check it out. Devs were on a 10 year-long hiatus, you woke up just in time to see them release the sequel. :positive:

Also Gothic is getting a remake from spanish inquisition. They are trying to keep the spirit of the first game.

It's all you could ask for, bro! There are enhanced editions of the Infinity Engine games, a new version of Neverwinter Nights, sequels to Fallout (we're up to Fallout 4!) and more Elder Scrolls games. Rogue-like games are everywhere (we all love our games to have procedurally generated content in 2020!), even in games that shouldn't be rogue-likes (it's not the least bit lazy). Yeah, man, playing all this great stuff could take up tens of minutes before you're ready to uninstall. Welcome to 2020. What a great year!

You're in luck!

Here at the codex, plenty of us have likewise not played any games released more recently than 15 years ago (or earlier), and you need not suffer social exclusion or culture shock so long as you stay inside of our insular (i.e. prestigious) community.
