Based on what Microsoft said about the new Xbox it will be using a "neural network" to enhance the graphics, which most likely means a technology similar to DLSS2 will be used. If RDNA2 also uses a similar technique on the PC (which it likely will, probably using DirectML or something), I think PC gamers should be well prepared for new ports. Combined with DirectStorage I think the differences between consoles and PC in terms of game optimization/performance should be less of an issue than it is today due to hardware and software parity.

finance includes gamepass as well?

if I understand it correctly its everything, Gamepass/Gold/Console. Since Series X is backwards compatible someone (like me) who already has a OneX can also trade that in, it currently goes for 150€ which reduces the price even more.

Some asshole on YouTube with some insight on production did the math about costs and came out that Series X APU(CPU+GPU) comes around at ~50-60$. This one is even cheaper.

Its mostly memory, gddr6 is ca $10/GB(10GB in S version) and nvme ssd that are costly.
They could be breaking even or selling at small loss but they are in it long term with subscriptions.

Leaked speaker features:
  • All-Digital (that is a minus)
  • 1440p at up to 120FPS (try 900p @ 25-30fps)
  • DirectX Raytracing (nope, it will "support" it hardware wise but no game will use it on 20CU)
  • Variable Rate Shading
  • Variable Refresh Rate (doesn't matter since it won't go past 30fps)
  • Ultra-Low Latency
  • Custom 512GB SSD (when COD now takes 200GB+ and that is current gen)
  • 4K Streaming Media Playback
  • 4K Upscaling for Games (simple streatching)

Fixed that.
My GTX980 is 5TF card and it will be faster than that.

One thing is sure, beside Sony exclusives there won't be "next gen" looking games.

Bit way too pessimistic, imo.
If its faster than current gen One X than its gonna be decent.
And Im sure it is.
900p/25fps is something sonyfag would say.
Lets wait and see but its gonna be a capable little machine.
Personally, im gonna get the X so it wont affect me but those looking for decent poorfag gaming its a steal.

$499 is a good price for the Series X if it performs as well as Digital Foundry and others are saying. Looking at it as a PC guy I can of course beat it by spending the same amount on a 3070, but only because I have everything else already. Notice they didn't confirm the $499 though, it's a jab to make Sony respond I bet. Still... I kind of expected $599, so that's impressive.

Anyway... remember the Series S is the lowest common denominator "next-gen" games will be based on. Series X's massively better GPU will mostly be used for 4k resolution/framerate and not much else. Good that the baseline has a good processor though, that was the bottleneck last time. This time it'll be a 4TF GPU I guess.
