Close up on The Elf

Howdy, adventurers!

It’s time for a new episode of our close-up series! Today, we talk about The Elf; gracious, elegant, formerly a champion of poney braiding contests, and absolutely deadly with a bow in her hands - both for allies and enemies if we’re being honest.

Compared to the violent brutes of the group, like The Barbarian or The Dwarf, The Elf comes across as a bowl of fresh air - or at least, air that doesn’t stink to the point of making you cry when you breathe it in. She is definitely naive and sheltered, and that very easily makes her annoying to most people, but she undoubtedly has a good heart.

Despite what The Dwarf might say, she’s far from being useless on the battlefield; she knows how to use her charm to buff her allies or “distract” her foes, and her aim with a bow is… Well, it’s not as terrible as the rest of the group’s. With patience and efforts, it’s sure to get good eventually!

After Necromunda has hurt my soul I want this to fill the void. My expectations for Necromunda were high and it was bad, I have none for this and it will be good. That would only be fair.

Its funny, I love playing the Elf in Gauntlet as a thieving everything char. I was delighted with last Gauntlet entry. Fem Elf... well, its still bow action I guess.

The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos - Price announcement and Digital

A week from now, on September 17th, 2020, the goofiest of tactical RPG will be released on PC and Mac. The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos is a parody of classical tabletop role-playing games presenting seven stereotypical adventurers trying their best to go through an extremely weird dungeon and complete a hopeless quest. Get ready to take control of their party and help them achieve their goals!

Today, we make one of our most awaited announcements: the time has come to reveal the price of The Amulet of Chaos and to tell you about our Digital Deluxe edition.

On September 17th, three separate products will be released:
The base game, which will be worth $34.99
The original soundtrack, which will be worth $4.99
The Deluxe pack, which will be worth $9.99

In addition to this, the Digital Deluxe Edition bundle, which includes the three separate products above, will be available from day one and be worth $42.50. See the picture below for a recap of what that bundle includes:

So for $42.50, you can get an amazing bundle composed of The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos, an awesome Digital Artbook featuring several artworks unreleased in the game and “behind the scenes” content, the epic complete soundtrack of the game with five additional tracks that aren’t in The Amulet of Chaos, a selection of the best audio lines from your favorite adventurers, 5 wallpaper-style 4k artworks and 5 animated artworks. This is a fantastic way to benefit from the complete experience that creating this game has been for us, beyond the gameplay and story we wanted to tell from the very beginning!

Whether you get the base game, the full bundle or anything in between, we hope that all those who play The Amulet of Chaos love playing that game as much as we loved making it. The adventurers of The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk are almost ready for you - only a week left and you’ll be able to join their epicly stupid quest!

Another buy from me.

I dont like that it is French, because French are weird (they can cry or laugh for no reason like women in special days), but hopefully gameplay is good.

Well, if Elfie has lots of fan-service I might be sold.

Seriously, I think the design doc for her was "make a porn game character."

With a very annoying voice. Ball bag required, not listening to that thing screeching.

From the store page:

Play with seven classic role-playing game characters complementing each other’s skills as you level them up: the Ranger, the Elf, the Dwarf, the Magician, the Ogre and the Thief!

Somebody can't count right.

Also, what's the max party size? Anybody know? The game description is vague at best. Not sure if you have the seven characters as a perma party or can only use x characters at any one time.

There are seven core characters (they forgot the Barbarian) plus either the Paladin, Priestess or Minstrel: https://rpgcodex.net/article.php?id=11514

This game's demo was available during the Steam Summer Game Festival and Gamescom, so in fact we know quite a bit about it. Ask one of the people who played.

:shredder:

Started playthrough with nightmare difficulty, seems like tutorial difficulty does not depend on difficulty level. So far seems decent enough interface is quite clunky gonna write some thoughts after ~10 hours of play.
