Noitce that they showed a female drow with a male human - the most normal and sensible combination possible, also no MxM on that screenshot. Dare I say Larians are based?

Romance is a polite word we’re using for sex.

LoL leave it to an old Belgian cumdumpster of a faggot to explain to you what a romance is. At this point i miss bioware's realistic "shower them with jewels" romance system.

I don't like how vampirism is basically being a human, but paler and needing to drink blood on occasion. It's supposed to be some curse, remaining hot as fuck and living forever while remaining hot as fuck along with some superpowers does not strike me as a curse. It strikes me as a direct upgrade.

They've been perverted into something sexual. First off, sunlight bane was a big deal before electricity. It still is, but the impact is not nearly as felt in this era. Also, the joy of existence was supposed to be gone. Food and drink are ashes to taste and scent. Touch is numb. There is no sex-drive, nor joy in it. You cannot have children, so no family. No kinship. Anything you ever do get to enjoy, will pass and fade before your eyes. Then there is the existential disconnection from God. Again, that was more poignant in earlier times. Furthermore, you're a predator, so by nature you're going to be condemned to loneliness. The whole scene with vampires being ultra-hedonists partying all the time is both a mechanism to attract prey and a cruel mockery where they desperately try to experience the happiness of being alive.

After the first act however you are going to have to commit, also just like in real life.
Should this be interpreted as "All recruitable NPCs will appear in the first part of the game and you won't be able to have anyone join your party further into the game"?

Yes, unfortunately. There are supposed to be camp followers in addition to regular companions, though, like Volo and - let's not try kidding ourselves at this point - Minsc.

Ahh... remember the days when companions were hidden, and could be missed entirely? Or you had to meet specific criteria for them to be joinable? Even Owlcat doesn't have the balls to do that. What was the last game that did? Dragon Age: Origins?

I really just want more companions. The current amount is absolute garbage for a Baldurs Gate game.

Can I play it without knowing anything about the franchise?
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a new story, and a new adventure, with new characters. We don’t want to spoil too much, but when you explore the world for the first time, you’ll enjoy the story from a fresh perspective, but if you’ve played the previous games, you’ll quickly start to join many dots. But those dots aren’t required to enjoy your own personal adventure in the Forgotten Realms.

Ha! Told you it will be a sequel. "Connecting the dots" my ass. Say it with me, class - BHAALSPAWN TADPOLES.

Love the retarded orgasmo face that the drow babe gives when Clamhands the Bearded gives her the ole third base special. Thank you Larian.

Still better than anything NuBioware will ever make, and it seems that they're actually putting some effort into it, unlike bioware's streamlined "relationship" system.

They're so expensive to make (time and VO) that I guess developers are too afraid to hide them or make them missable. Not to mention if they're given the oh-so-wonderful Bioware sex scenes, which is even more expensive for the sake of some half-hearted faps.

Ah, the increased cost of making elements for an RPG actually reducing the amount of role-playing, shocker.

I hope I can skip all the romantic cheesy colombian dialogues and porn, sadly I will be missing a significant amount of content. Apparently a lot of players today like to play RPG to have romances with fictional characters and watch them fuck, and that's where the money goes.
Fuck.
