Ahh... remember the days when companions were hidden, and could be missed entirely? Or you had to meet specific criteria for them to be joinable? Even Owlcat doesn't have the balls to do that. What was the last game that did? Dragon Age: Origins?
I really hate the notion that because some of the developers spent a lot of time and effort making something it has to be seen or encountered by as many people as possible, especially because it often gets combined with the artefacts that do happen to take a lot of time and resources to make such as companions. Preferring quality or quantity is not a bad thing but man, it's really disheartening to know that I most likely won't be able to recruit new companions as I go deeper into the game.
Also, as far as I'm concerned camp followers are not a proper replacement to playable characters.

That being said I'm not entirely opposed to the idea of having to commit to the same party for the majority(?) of the game rather than conveniently swapping out party members when you need them. I just think it's a shame they went with this route since based on what we know about the game's beginning I can easily imagine most, if not all, of the playable cast being within a few minutes' reach of the starting area so the entire recruiting process essentially just becomes an extension of the character creation.

Enjoy your degenerate romances that come with your degenerate game. This is what they're turning the BG series into. From now on, if you even mention enjoying the Baldurs Gate series, you will be thrown in with the degenerates that love and play this game. I'll have to pretend I don't even know what BG is from now on. Another series ruined by some soulless, passionless, incompetent hacks. The worse part is you cultists have been trained to see this as an actual good thing and will buy this game. Buying this game is basically telling swen "I agree with what you're doing and encourage you to keep doing it. I also encourage other developers to take notes because if this game makes a good amount of money, they will copy you because they are just a passionless as you are." Thought I could count on the people on this forum to have decent opinions about games. If I wanted to see a bunch of shills and cultists and pussys I would have went to a reddit thread. Those people are all over this game, and it appears you all are too.

middle aged Bulgarians with sub 90 IQ sperging out
90 IQ is within average, even if it is the minimum. Is this even supposed to be a diss? You're calling people average? Go a little lower next time. Just type 70 if you really want to diss someone. Also, do people even actually believe in IQ as a system? I've never done a test because it seems like a stupid way to try to judge how smart someone is. These tests should automatically subtract 10 points off of your score at the end for being stupid enough to take it in the first place.

Fuck this shit Larian!

This is not how a party based RPG works!
Doesn't matter how things are supposed to work or worked in BG1/2. It's how it worked in DOS2 and that's all that matters to them while they make DOS3. Just another thing to add on the list of times they used DOS design philosophy OVER BG design philosophy. They don't actually care about the name or series at all. Absolutely passionless

Ha! Told you it will be a sequel. "Connecting the dots" my ass. Say it with me, class - BHAALSPAWN.
It will just be a bunch of empty references thrown in occasionally so that larian cultists can use them as evidence when they try to convince people that this piece of shit game deserves to use the name.
So Ontopoly...are you a bulgarian?

I'm very into cock and ball torture
That drunk female pirate should have had more lines. The voice acting was perfect. Should have made her a full companion instead of that elemental magic faggot or the NumaNuma Negroe.

Relevant to the current discussion topic here, she had a bug where if you equiped the wrong kind of armor on her she went fully naked. I do not know how that slipped into POE 2.

Honestly sub 90 seems to fit for you. Sub 90 is far from average, IQ is given on a bell curve system.
Being below 90 puts you within the dumbest 30% of humanity. So yes, that was a diss, and one you wonderfully walked into.

If you have played BG 1 + 2 you will see plenty of "degeneracy" in there. Not unique to BG3.

I can not wait to have my gay romance with a female!

Is this a definite? Been a bugbear of mine about party handling, I really hope we're able to kill or at least kick companions and fill the gaps with IWD meat puppets. That, and there being a force attack action...
Even if there's no attack option in the dialogue options if you choose to interact with them you should still be able to initiate combat (and thus kill them) with them by manually attacking them.

I certainly hope so. I can understand why developers are reluctant to include a force attack option these days, makes things harder when those pesky players decide to murder story-relevant NPCs, but companions should be fair game in some manner or other.

We could see in the very first gameplay that Asterion has a dialogue option could kill Shadowheart by draining her blood I would be surprised if other origins don't get a similar options. You could also pretty much kill everyone in DOS 2 so I doubt they change that design.

That's what I'm basing my assumption on as well. In their previous games you could force a fight with more or less any NPC by attacking them and since they seem to borrow a lot of their past design choices I assume this is something that'll be included as well.

Most of the people complaining never even played dos2, how do you expect them to know this?

Not only the amount is garbage, the races as well, two human one elf one half elf? You call that a DnD party? No dwarf no tiefling no halfling no dragonborn. Even the elf is a boring ass high elf. They could at least have a drow.

Dragonborns are a fucking abomination. You take that back. Play a fucking lizardman like a normal human being. None of this Skyrim bullshit.

Oh please. Draconic descendants were a thing in DnD ages before Skyrim reared its ugly head.

"Draconic descendants" weren't fucking lizard people Dragonborns. This is a retcon, and a shitty one at that. We have enough humanoid reptile races already. They offer virtually nothing but the name and the "coolness" factor of being part Dragon. All the cancer of 4th edition wrapped up in a single race.

Just because there's already a fly in your soup doesn't mean taking a shit in it won't make it worse still. Say no to Dragonborn!

Given its Larian romance, I will play in the most autistic character possible, ignoring any sort of advance and just focusing on the mission.

You should read about Dragonlance at some point. The first books are probably the best DnD-related novels, and the setting wasn't half-bad for a DnD adventure. At least before it got fucked up beyond recognition.

Btw, when they bleep Sarah because "it's a spoiler", I think she's saying something like "____ hole inside of him". But I can't make out the first word. If someone else has better lip-reading skills, feel free to contribute. It seems to me like she's saying "sexual hole inside of him", but I doubt it's that lolol. It's something with an E sound.

They already revealed the spoiler he's got a huge magical energy device inside him from the Netheril that will explode like a nuke if it isn't removed.

From this latest video it sounds like if he isn't fed magic items to keep it somewhat stabke he'll die with the surrounding country side.

So the guy is twice screwed over with the brain worm and a bomb inside him.

Kinda like the guy who sold his soul and and the worm inside him.

I think all the characters are some how double-fucked over now.
