Alchemist: Chirurgeon, Grenadier, Metamorph, Preservationist, Vivisectionist, empty slot

Very surprised to see Metamorph on there, hopefully this means Alter Self, Monstrous Physique, and Giant Form are in. Absolutely no point in even implementing this particular archetype if even one of those aren't.

I'm reading more closely the Archetypes, but this still bugs me - why in the bloody Hell would you add Exploiter Wizard, whilst also adding Arcanist? There is literally zero reasons to choose the latter when the former is an option. I recall several Dungeon Masters, both in my personal life and the Internet, who explicitly banned Exploiter Wizard from their sessions for that exact reason.

And Summoners, since they are probably the most over-powered class in the game. But that's another topic.
They already had multiple archetypes like that in the base game. If I remember correctly, one of the druid subclasses is literally just a normal druid with bonuses and no downside, for example.

One of the Empty wizard archetype slots may belong to Scrollmaster, which is different from Scroll Savant, one of the possible companions will be a Scrollmaster so it may be acquirable for the PC.

EDIT: Also keep in mind that some of the classes/Archetypes seen will differ from their tabletop variants, or be original(Relatively speaking) to the pc version of Wrath.

Additionally, To the person accusing Owlcat of stealing the modders ideas, first keep in mind that several modders do keep regular contact with the Owlcat devs on the discord. Second, why is it so strange that the devs are adding modded things which were popular for Kingmaker to Wrath of the Righteous? They have done something similar with Turn Based Mode and other things beside.

Also, adding "Exploiter Wizard" as an Archetype makes the entire Arcanist class completely useless, since it has 90% of the class's strength whilst having NONE of its weaknesses. I wish I was over-exaggerating.
Contrary if school savant arcanist archetype will be implemented it seems like a good reason not to play as a wizard ever again. Exploiter Wizard doesn't have Greater metamagic exploit, consume spells, and the spontaneous cast which is a deal-breaker here especially for a videogame IMO. Though wizards will be getting spells a level ahead of arcanists, the only advantage can I see here.

The Exploiter Wizard gets no downsides of the Arcanist, whilst getting the Arcane Exploits and Arcane Pool.
Exploiter wizards may have no downsides of arcanist, still, you are cutting your original specialist wizard and also not getting all features arcanist have. So I'd say exploiter wizard may be slightly more powerful due to spell progression, but school savant keeps the spot nearest to it in terms of power. I'd say BALANCED if it's possible for arcane casters, both still too powerful and can do almost anything as they progress. Actually, a very arguable topic, though I agree that Owlcats should remove the wizard archetype for us to get a full-fledged arcanist experience.

The thing is the current mount is all Simoldon (which I don't think supposed to be one?) so mounting is silly strong with you and the Simoldon attacking the same target.
Not for everyone. For Paladin's level 5 feature, yes they are all still Smilodons (weirdly) but for my Mad Dog I can ride around on my Mastodon.

Does anyone know if there is an NPC who can respec in the Alpha? I see there is an option in the menu for it. Normally I would consider it cheating and not do it, but apparently the bug that robbed my MC and Seelah of some skill points on level-up has been fixed now and I'd like to see if respeccing and re-leveling can get those points back.

They're wasting their time doing Arcanist without Counterspell exploits, but I'm told they've already committed to leave them out.

That is why it always better to check what actually available in the game instead of ranting about balance from internet sources.

Arcane exploits list for Arcanist/Exploiter Wizard is extremely limited in-game. Mostly, there are two tiers of weak-souse elemental attacks for normal/greater Exploit that scale from CHA, some defense buffs that are easily duplicated with other spells/items and simple teleport.

Only really good thing I could see is Potent Magic for +2 DC/CL on spell. Even Quick Study (implemented in Call of the Wild) to get any spell in spell-book on the fly is not in the beta and good chances devs won't touch it, ever. Also, as already said, Exploits for Counterspell or Metamagic manipulations also had not made it.

A similar thing happened in Alchemist where you give up the Poison Resist/Immunity of the Base Class for some benefit ends up being too good sine Poison is so easily managed.

So the Kitsune racial feat (like Wings for Aasimar or Cautious Fighter for Halfling) is Pounce available at lvl ten.

That is pretty hardcore.

Devil is the secret mythic path - just checked it as well, and it's right there in the files. Perhaps it's a false flag by Owlcats, but I doubt it.

I thought that there would be one Mythic Path per alignment, but:
- Lawful Good - Gold Dragon
- Neutral Good - Angel
- Chaotic Good - Azata
- Lawful Neutral - Aeon
- Neutral - Legend
- Chaotic Neutral - Trickster
- Lawful Evil - Devil
- Neutral Evil - Lich
- Chaotic Evil - Swarm/Demon

I've also read many comments on 4chan that the Azata path is the most heart-warming one. Anyone here can confirm that claim?

Droviers view their allies and adventuring companions as a herd or pack to be protected and directed, with variations on that theme ranging from culture to culture.
Human: Feral Child

Winter Witch, Kislev strong

why I am excited, I know on release only 20% of all this would work and not be bugged

I think the purpose of the ongoing Alpha/Beta stages will be exactly to iron out as many bugs as possible before official release, so as not to repeat the same pattern and get stuck with a nasty reputation.

Ugh, I'm so miffed rats didn't win. I wanted a rat druid so badly. Every time I see the abomination that are the kitsune I throw up a little in my mouth and remember how my precious ratfolk didn't win. I hope they make it in a DLC.

A rat cleric that tries to stop a plague.

A rat ranger with a giant cat as animal companion.

A rat bard who seduces every chick in the tavern.

A rat alchemist what the fuck.

Rats were the superior choice.
