Description
Against The Moon is a turn-based strategy where chthonic monsters will challenge your tactical skills. Lead a squad of superhumans in a desperate attempt to save humanity's last stronghold, the intelligent city of Arx.

Featuring a bleak post-apocalyptic setting, Against The Moon mixes elements of popular trading card games like Slay the Spire, Hand of Fate and Talisman to create an epic strategy experience with a thrilling plot and unique visual style.

Having lost control of the planet to weird beasts of their own creation, humanity’s last survivors took refuge in an ancient citadel. Now the superhuman Ultori represent mankind’s last hope. Lead a squad of powerful Ultori to defeat the Furos, the nightmare creatures of the Moon, and restore humanity as the rightful rulers of Earth.

Craft your own deck, upgrade your cards and level up your characters to combat bizarre and dangerous opponents. Crush enemy bosses, build your forces and gather the resources you need to challenge the Moon itself!

May Great Mother Arx bless your mission. You are our only hope!

Immerse yourself in a unique post-apocalyptic world with dozens of atmospheric illustrations, and intense, vividly animated combat.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Bought, had this in my sights a little longer but I stopped buying any and all Early Access games.
Steam has an Eastern Europe Indie sale right now, which is nice of them. Has put this in my memory again.

Anyway I refunded. Here are the reasons why:

Speed up animation mode barely speeds up animation.
Text slowly rolls out while the voiceacting plays, a click immediatly skips the entire text, even the one that isn't shown yet. 1 click for show all text, 1 click for skip it is industry norm for a reason.
Text slowly rolling out can't be toggled, extremely barebones options in general.
Forced tutorial which is awfull.
Game in general is way too handholdy. You might be strategising deeply and suddenly some story event happens that warps in a million dudes on both sides of the battlefield. Feels shallow.
The enemy does not seem to be bound by the same rules as you, it just pops in a random amount of dudes on the board. That or the game just really obfuscates how your enemy plays and only shows you the turn results.
Balance is shite. Playing a lot of those games you get a feeling on how much monsters have to cost for what cost to be worth playing. This games designers seem to have never played another game in the genre.

There probably is a good game in there beyond all the shoddyness and jankyness but I didn't care enough to dig for it. The market is oversaturated as fuck and when a Slay the Spire like comes out with this much glaring issues I am just gonna boot up another run of Monster Train.
