The entire concept of dipping weapons into fire is SO FUCKING STUPID

I assumed that was a D&D 5e mechanic. Is it not?

Nope. It is a dopey Larian mechanic that has absolutely nothing to do with D&D.

In D&D sticking your sword in a fire would just make it hot. Magic is required to create a flaming weapon.

I just think Minsc should be entirely above it all(re:sexualization and whatever charm she's using therein) unless it's his witch he's protecting.
Not everything needs to be sexualized, getting kinda tired of it. Charm being completely ineffective on Minsc, especially in the face of evil, is entirely within his character IMO.

He is immune. He stabs her into the floor with his massive, massive sword a few pages later. An experience which leaves her dead.

Used to be a thing in the third edition, different weapons had different crit ranges. In 5E the only way to increase this range is, to my knowledge, the Champion archetype for the Fighter (which is unfortunately the most mechanically boring one)

"Put more plain fighter in your plain fighter!"

The Champion is designed as a class to give your 11 year old cousin when she insists on playing D&D with you.

THE FUCKING NOVELS ARE NOT CANON. THE GAMES ARE. THIS IS OFFICIAL.
Abdel Adrian is simply the canon name of CHARNAME. The only other canon facts are his race (human), gender (male) and alignment (Neutral). That's it.
