Still, that noname multiplayer shooter studio's hiring policy (ahem Cara ahem) was... extravagant to say the least.

I think Cara Ellison was one of the more normal things about this game's development. There are writer chicks like her everywhere in the industry today. What isn't normal is a game showing up at E3 and then disappearing off the face of the earth for 16 months and counting. Hardsuit Labs was clearly not cut out for this project on a fundamental level.

There are no "diversity quotas" in the gaming industry. People are constantly drawn to this topic when the obvious explanation is right in front of your eyes. Paradox hired a noname multiplayer shooter studio make a sequel to one of the greatest RPGs. It didn't work out!

All it takes is an HR department full of women, which is the norm today.

It's not that simple in my opinion. The intro that I have seen and also the E3 demo looked good enough for a Bloodlines game, so there must have been problems elsewhere.

Ootl but I assume everyone thinks that these people are fired because they disagreed with the decision to completely rewrite the story because the studio is in crunch mode to finish the damn game?

Can only repeat what I told you last month: https://rpgcodex.net/forums/threads/vampire-the-masquerade-–-bloodlines-2-from-hardsuit-labs-and-paradox-interactive.126124/page-410#post-6911115

You're a fool, SJWs dislike each other all the time, devour each other all the time, for not being progressive enough or by pushing the wrong woke trend of the moment.
See: Rowling.

Not being a bad thing is not the same as being a good thing. My point is that if someone just said that one of the company's problems is that it isn't woke enough, then they saying that you are a bad professional doesn't hold much weight.

Didn't think much of Garrus either positively or negatively. Just kinda there.

we're probably already getting a crpg WoD game from hairbrained schemes. probably not vampire though but Wraith or Changeling

Trademark searching in the HBS thread leads one to believe they're working on an Orpheus RPG. Matrix runs, but on the astral plane.
