Yet again the lack of love for Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2 calls into question the :obviously:nature of the Codex. They are probably the best console JRPGs ever put on a Nintendo system. If you hate the JRPG style, you will hate XBC. If you love JRPGs, I dont know how you could not love XBC.

If I had to recommend one, get the first one. Its far more complete and a better game. I personally like XBC2 better, but I'm a degenerate pervert.
I've heard nothing but bad/mediocre to somewhat positive things about the sequel. I don't think XBC2 is a lauded title for its genre. Or maybe people are just turned off by the woman-designed big titty yeti.
I still would play for the Welsh cat, it's honestly a good casting choice.

How's Tales of Vesperia?

Good, runs fine, amazing you could play it portably when not a few years ago you could only get weak Tales Of games (or good but old) on the go.

Shiren of all things is being ported in soon from the dead.
Never died! It's a port of like... the fifth game that was on the Vita.

I'm gonna third Three Houses and also put up Collection of Mana, having SD2 translated on the go is pretty ace.

Shiren 5 started life on DS ten years ago, actually.

I'm beginning to wonder if Chunsoft will eventually release a sixth one one day or if they will just continue to pump out remakes of that episode for ten more years.

Ah yeah.
Well, each port adds something so that's still not dead dead. Per se. Hell the switch ver adds stuff to the Vita ver.
