Is there any way we could improve our army before that ? If not, then let's go and meet him right now.

Also, would it be possible for a map to be added to the first post of the thread ? I don't always remember exactly where the different provinces are.

I've added it to the first post.

I've been getting troops and upgrading them in the background. I think this is a good number, given that we'll have two opportunities to increase them now.

So, without further ado, let's proceed to the next part of the game.

I of course like the fact that the adventure offers many options, but quite a few of them are... well, not unrealistic, but certainly unreasonable. In this situation, for instance, it would gain us nothing to send him packing before learning about his intentions.

I think there were other options here, but they're not visible because we didn't meet the conditionals. Sometimes they are greyed out, but many times they don't even appear at all. Either way, I'm in the process of writing the sequel and I'm looking forward for feedback about the game when we finish it.

We can select multiple options here. Some lead to different conversation branches, so I think its best if we go one at a time.

"How do you plan on dealing with the other houses ?" Whether or not we decide to ally with him (before stabbing him in the back), knowing more about his plans can only be useful.

Talk about something else : "What makes you think you can rebel against the King ?", then "What exactly do you want from me ?".

We never told him it was poison, but what's the use of pointing it out ? This isn't a detective story.

I don't think that even our super-sword could help us win a fight against anybody more dangerous than a small chicken.
It glows and poisons the victim, thinking better we should have revealed our heritage, coupled with the mors crocca would have made quite an impact.
