Gaming quality has degraded every since focus was put on players rather than gamers

I probably don't qualify since half of my games feature this fellow as a playable character.

Imagine defining yourself as "gamer".

The "gamer" community.

As in contrast to the "book reader" community, the "music listener" community, and the "movie watcher" community.

Modern society doesn't allow for men to be men. Video games attract men then same way weights and Heavy Metal do, they hit the testosterone spots that Office jobs and city life cannot.

"Gamers" took the right position in the culture war. Which is why I cut them some slack for being entitled losers.

Since I just bitched bout the state of games in Shoutbox...

The quality of games HAS declined, both intellectually, mechanically and economically. Production times increased, release quality dropped to zero, the rise of indie devs has done absolutely NOTHING to help with this and instead made the situation worse.
Burn it all down and start over.
