I look forward to the "delayed until Summer 2021" announcement.

Guess they changed their mind since, err, yesterday.

I doubt they give two shits about some Twitter rando and just told him what he wanted to hear. That way, the guy knows a Brand(TM) is on his side and can safety pre-order the game, on the pretense that the company promised the game will be out on his timeline.

It'll get delayed one more time until Dec 21st. Mark my words.

Of course, to catch the Christmas wave.

The state of QA working 160h weeks while testing 9 different versions (many in new hardware they’re not used to) of a huge bloated game

LOL Release this year will be off the table is my best guess. You don't act like that unless there are still serious issues with the game. First they tweeted stuff like "take a day off at November 19!!!" and now "eh, well, it's delayed again, sry not sry".

I think the Pollacks did an excellent job in killing one of the biggest hypes in the gaming industry over the last years. Sure, it will still sell good, but the energy and hype around the game are probably at an all time low right now.

It's not that I don't get the reasons for the delay - they do make sense.

But man, are they bad at keeping the lid on a date until they are really sure.
This just proves the last delay was only a guess.

To be fair, all due dates in software development are "just a guess". A more or less informed guess, for sure, but a guess all the same.
Sure, but you can plan well and guess better (and most importantly, add more buffer) or plan terribly and... get this.

The Covid-excuse doen't fly anymore for this one, as they have been working remotely for a fairly long time now.

Person that answered would have no idea that the game is going to be delayed. In fact, people who work in support are basically never told anything. They have to search the internet to find out answers, but you obviously can't find answer to everything, especially if your game is being delayed. The person answering just went with the official public information. Support rarely has "insider" information.

And it's not limited to CD-Projekt, it's industry standard that support works this way. In fact, I'd be amazed if you found one gaming company that has knowledgeable support. Even Microsoft support has no idea what they are talking about (in fact, they are even worse than gaming companies).

some say a mirror's edge hotline miami like crossbreeding. *looks like cybernetic doc oct feminazi is your target.

Eh.... I feel let down a little by Cyberpunk 2077 and esp Vampire BL2.

*looks like cybernetic doc oct feminazi is your target.

Too early for me to hard judge. I've shifted to looking at Codec instead which is also delayed. Will all 3 hit the market at the same time?

Pc is version is finished and was probably in April if truth be told. Instead, everyone has to wait for 8 other shit versions to be done....

Apparently they sent an internal all staff email about an hour before the delay was announced. It sounds as though only the higher ups knew it was going to happen.

They were really scared of the info leaking out before the stock market closed.

They are running out of ideas about downgrading the visuals to make it run on a basic PS4, so they need extra time to come up with real creative solutions about what to cut.
