WHERE'S MY KARMA SYSTEM AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SAVE ME TODD HOWARD
Karma system was not created or even used by Todd Howard, you idiot. It was used in the original Fallout games, not in Todd's Fallouts.

RPG is a good progression system and C&C.
Character progression has nothing to do with role-playing. It's perfectly possible to create a role-playing game with no character levels/progression, every skill/talent/perk/trait etc. can be chosen at character creation and such a game would most likely be much more realistic and have a much higher replay value.

Also, why do people keep saying "bullet sponge enemies?"
If it takes at least 4-5 shots to take down an unarmored enemy with your basic gun, that enemy is called bullet sponge and it's exactly the case in this game.

....bugs that are only visibile to 'haters'...
Just to address this, as I'm one of the people in this thread who experienced very few bugs and already stated as much:
When I say that I experience hardly any bugs in my game - I pretty much mentioned the few I met - that is just a statement about how I experience the game while I play it. This statement doesn't imply that other people don't have bugs. I'm not other people and don't have their systems to play the game on.
When I ask why other people with much better systems than mine experience that many bugs, it's curiosity, not incredulity. If I had experienced as many bugs as some of those reviewers, I would have refunded the game (would be possible without hassle in my case). I'm just happy my game just works for the most part.

Nonsense, bullet sponges are enemies that take a lot more than 4-5 shots to take down. Most bosses in most games are bullet sponges by design - although some developers go too far with it (e.g. Destiny). The vids way back in this thread just before launch showed a bullet sponge effect - lots of shots, lots of headshots especially. I suspect those early vids were made by trolls just using early weak weapons against later level mobs, because that's not the experience you get while playing the game.

As to progression - progression is essential to the gameplay side of RPGs. Most people wouldn't be happy with a game where nothing improves. You want to feel a sense of growth and development, like a successful life in miniature. At the same time, a good progression system has meat on the bones for people who like to think deeply about their builds and weigh up multiple factors, min-max, etc.

Yeah can we talk about how much better the motorbikes are than anything else? The best bike in the game is cheap as shit (22k) looks awesome and is faster than anything else, as well as being more practical for parking up etc for missions and getting through traffic. There is really no reason to bother with cars in this game.
I mean, it -is- cyberpunk and thus according to the gospel can only be traversed either by walking, motorcycle or flying car. Such is the word of the machine messiah, hallowed be his RAM.
Besides, you can never find a fucking parking spot for a car anywhere in the city (as it should be) and the traffic will just completely stop if you leave it in the middle of the street because of the almighty Traffic AI. If anything, one grave point of contention for me is that there aren't more bikes, only 4 or 5 models total, when this game is in dire need of more. Especially a Faggio-equivalent.

I was still fuming from
Fucking thank you. I knew it wasn't just me. Scripted chase sequences are bad enough but that piece of shit pickup handled like a boat trying to do the sea is lava. Jesus wept. And then got ham- etc.

What the fuck, she banned a user from her chat for saying "I love your ass :)" ??

1. She used to be a pornstar.

2. That's not even a bad comment, like what the fuck. That's so fucking mild.

And she spends like 4 more minutes going over how "he should know why's banned", jesus get a fucking sense of humor. You're rich because of your body and now because you're a female who plays games (same thing in both cases, I suppose). The fuck...

<There is a sudden disturbance up ahead.>

Thots with impressive busts appear on video sites. Your first impression is that they are veteran pornstars then you see they are streaming video games?! They continue to play games without a clue in the world on what they're doing, not bothering to acknowledge unsubscribed users in their chat.

Thots going pro?! You doubt it. Shrugging your shoulders, you tell them to get back to pornhub and continue on your way.

And it wasn't just the chase itself with the annoying wallowing pickup, it was the fact that you had to C through the guff from the quest-giver every time. OK, I get it CDPR, you were trying to make a "challenging" sequence that people would have to try a few times and memorize the sequence of to get right, like the ancient games of yore; but for the love of God don't force us to sit through the same FUCKING DIALOGUE each time we try. Really one of the very worst parts of this game, absolutely terrible design.

BioWare used to have a penchant for this too. There'd be an autosave just before some really challenging bit, but you'd have to sit through acres of unskippable dialogue as punishment before trying again.

Vavra has spoken:
Slavic retard gang assemble.
Must be tough to be from a pseudo culture that only has one noteworthy production, The Witcher (a rip off of Elric of Melniboné in the first place) and a single noteworthy company, CDPR, that already has a 50/50 good to popamole ratio.

Edit: By the way Slavs are now people of color in Oregon.
The cat is finally out of the bag.
Haiti's first head of state Jean-Jacques Dessalines called Polish people "the White Negroes of Europe", which was then regarded a great honour, as it meant brotherhood between Poles and Haitians.

It may be because sluts often try to salvage some dignity by making a clean separation between their normal life and their slut life. Hopeless endeavour ofc, but there you go.

I can understand this. He is speaking from not only enjoying the game but also from the experience that he too created a Huge Game and pulled it off.

I still see where this game was torn apart then put back together to the best of their ability because the Music Directing is all over the damn Place.

Night City has no Theme of it's own that creates any emotion, going to a ripper doc has no theme of it's own. There is a lot that could have been done. It's not the composers it's the Director and the Director of Music.

Your room has no Music.

To many story elements and sequences have horrible music directing that do nothing. There lost opportunities and it's rather sad. I would never agree to it.

It will interesting to see where this game is in a year. This is a Brand and I highly doubt it will be over with one go. It's a Brand that will grow in time.

I got sort of a Alter Carbon vibe but I think there is so much that can be improved. I am sure they will in the coming years improve everything.

Their Reputation hangs on this! I only saw 10 hours of Game play from MKiceandfire youtube and my observation is from that.

I laughed my ass of checking out Twitter Cyberpunk2077 bugs. PS4 and Xbox looks like PS1!

Finished the game

You're right about the music, most of the time you had the wrong kind of music playing, but the times that it worked was impactful. I also found myself turning off the radio while driving and just listening to stuff from DXHR and MD.
Ambient over regular production is king in most cases.

There's good music on the radio, but most of it isn't.
It's a shame because music done well elevates the entire experience, easily the difference between meh and chills.

Thankfully they had a lot of good character development moments, at times you actually feel close to the people you deal with, which isn't easy to achieve in any kind of game.

Most of all I was blindsided by how easy it is to eliminate yourself from romance with Judy :negative:

I see, thanks.

Even afterwards, you have to really pay attention to look at the little counter at exactly the right moment. In the end, it's not really that important.

One other question: I have this first iconic weapon you usually get, "Dying Night", stuck in my inventory. I guess I could disassemble it, but is there a way to get rid of that quest(?) marker in order to be able to just put it into the stash?

YOu should never get rid of iconic weapons, they stay relevant throughout the entire game due to upgrading in the crafting menu. Especially the Lexington, it's great all around, looks cool, fun to use. You can put it in the apartment stash or car trunk if you really don't want it :mad::mad:

You can upgrade any weapon you want really.

I'm thinking the most exploitative way to go is to get a white tier weapon because upgrade resources will be most common and just go full damage. You will probably out-damage some iconic weapon's bonus like the lexington's "50% bouns damage to headshots", or if not outdamage it, then it will still be so high damage as to not matter.

Guess who is angry:

Is amusing watching the full 180 from 'bestest game ever and it's not even be released yet' to 'I couldn't even play it because a texture didn't load'. Just in an hour this morning, I loaded into the same body space as an NPC (glitch for driving on reload), had one speak with an echo, had another with dialogue which didn't have audio, couldn't loot items, etc etc. But that's shit which will eventually be fixed because it's so in people's faces and is clearly not working as intended. It's the 'good enough' systems and mechanics which have been pushed out which need the real work and got to wonder how much overhaul is going to happen for those.

It's sight to behold to see Codex is being more possitive about this game than subreddit about it.
Don't be surprised, this place is full of Poles that cherish their national treasure, CD Projekt Red.

Which reminds me, while I was downloading the torrent (why yes, I do try before I BUY) the by far largest group of peers I was connected came from *drum roll please* Poland. You'd think that Poles would be much more likely to support their own gaming industry and their national treasure, but nope, apparently not.

Breach, baby. That's the shit.

Not as good as this dude's shit from Neo Tokyo but it's a better fit.

Breach pissed me off when I was forced to play it in MD, never actually listened to the music. I'll try now.
Specifically I was listening to

from the actual games soundtrack was also really well done and placed in the game. I thought the Aldecaldos stuff was a bit on the nose sometimes with the family speeches, but some of Panams quests were definitely top shelf in this game. I also remember we were told we can't join any organizations... That was a nice touch, especially for my nomad first playthrough :D I also really liked the fact that we got "ending slides" as credits rolled. Every game should have this :salute:
