This is a totally subjective list about how good certain elements of a game are. You can totally rate games other people have rated before - it's your opinion. Name a game and rate 1-5 on the following stuff.

Exploration: Is there interesting stuff to explore? Does the game make you eager to stick your nose under every rock?

Story: Is the story engaging? Do you like the cut of its jib? Does it have cool quests or multiple ways to solve them?

Combat: Do you like the mechanics of combat? Does it offer many builds? Do you love the way it feels?

Wasteland - 4/1/3
Yeah, the game that pretty much *invented* multiple ways to solve quests gets a 1. Jesus.

I still think Fargo should have created simple module creation kits like the old BTCS for both the bard trilogy and wasteland.

Well, I like this thread. Let's rate some games.

Telengard - 3/1/3
Wizardry I - 4/2/4
Wizardry V - 3/2/4
Wizardry VI - 3/3/3
Might and Magic I - 4/2/3
Might and Magic II - 4/1/2
Might and Magic: World of Xeen - 3/2/3
Ultima I - 2/1/2
Ultima II - 2/2/1
Ultima III - 3/2/2
Ultima IV - 5/5/2
Ultima V - 4/3/4
Ultima VI - 4/3/2
Ultima VII - 3/4/1
Ultima Underworld - 5/3/3
Ultima Underworld 2 - 3/2/3
Pool of Radiance - 4/3/2
Alter Ego - 1/5/0
Wasteland - 2/2/2
Dragon Wars - 3/3/3
Darklands - 4/4/2
Realms of Arkania - 3/1/2
Realms of Arkania 2 - 4/3/2
Betrayal at Krondor - 4/3/3
Daggerfall 3/3/3
Fallout - 3/3/3
Baldur's Gate - 1/1/2
Planescape: Torment - 2/4/2
Arcanum - 3/3/2
Morrowind - 4/4/2
Gothic - 4/3/3
Dark Disciples I - 3/1/2
Knights of the Chalice - 3/2/5
Frayed Knights - 3/2/3
Expeditions: Conquistador - 5/4/3
Divinity: Original Sin - 2/2/4
The Age of Decadence - 2/3/3
Legends of Amberland - 3/2/2

This rating system's not bad, but it desperately needs a fourth metric called "character customization + C&C" or something like that, otherwise some great RPGs like Wasteland, Realms of Arkania, Arcanum and The Age of Decadence end up getting destroyed by less enjoyable games with underwhelming systems like, say, Ultima VII and Betrayal at Krondor.

Here's the same list with the fourth "customization and C&C" metric.
Telengard - 3/1/3/2
Wizardry I - 4/2/4/3
Wizardry V - 3/2/4/3
Wizardry VI - 3/3/3/4
Might and Magic I - 4/2/3/2
Might and Magic II - 4/1/2/2
Might and Magic: World of Xeen - 3/2/3/2
Ultima I - 2/1/2/2
Ultima II - 2/2/1/2
Ultima III - 3/2/2/3
Ultima IV - 5/5/2/4
Ultima V - 4/3/4/2
Ultima VI - 4/3/2/2
Ultima VII - 3/4/1/1
Ultima Underworld - 5/3/3/3
Ultima Underworld 2 - 3/2/3/3
Pool of Radiance - 4/3/2/3
Alter Ego - 1/5/0/3
Wasteland - 2/2/2/4
Dragon Wars - 3/3/3/4
Darklands - 4/4/2/5
Realms of Arkania - 3/1/2/4
Realms of Arkania 2 - 4/3/2/4
Betrayal at Krondor - 4/3/3/1
Daggerfall 3/3/3/4
Fallout - 3/3/3/4
Baldur's Gate - 1/1/2/2
Planescape: Torment - 2/4/2/3
Arcanum - 3/3/2/5
Morrowind - 4/4/2/3
Gothic - 4/3/3/2
Dark Disciples I - 3/1/2/3
Knights of the Chalice - 3/2/5/2
Frayed Knights - 3/2/3/3
Expeditions: Conquistador - 5/4/3/3
Divinity: Original Sin - 2/2/4/2
The Age of Decadence - 2/3/3/4
