My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
I swear to god that I had thought of a similar kind of stealth game concept long before I had even heard of Clandestine where you can play as both a field agent and hacker at the same time and that the field agent would be a female with red-ish hair (she'd be Irish, so close enough) also set in the cyberpunk future
I'll try it out, here's to hoping that Unity doesn't screw my toaster over

Playing this in coop as the hacker with a completely clueless partner as the field agent is comedy gold. It's like a front row seat at a cinema showing of the latest Uwe Boll movie.

CONDUCTOR WE HAVE A PROBLEM

Okay so I'm playing this in coop (me as martin, bro hosting as katya), but I'm running into a pretty annoying problem. At seemingly random moments (roughly after 1h of playing?), the game is suddenly going to get laggy as hell for me, and a minute or two later it will crash for the host. And then it will keep crashing on every start up, even without me joining, and only a reboot can help against it.

Is this a common/known issue or is it a bug or whatever? Cuz it's pretty annoying and it never happened to me in solo, so I'm assuming it has something to do with the netcode.

Not something I've heard anyone encounter before. I passed on your post to the programmers, hopefully they can figure out what's going on. If you want to help us out immensely, when this happens (The first crash), if you could send us your output log (Default location at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Clandestine\Clandestine_Data\output_log.txt) and put it on pastebin.com and then send me the link (Can be in PM or here, up to you).

Read that there's no quicksaving, so that struck it off my to-play list, sorry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Finally got around to starting this with a buddy of mine. Great game with a friend on teamspeak. If one of you is smarter than the other, have the smart one play as the hacker; he has way more to keep track of. I'm playing as the bumbling agent, just finished the first non-tutorial 3-part! mission and having a great time. No bugs detected here, game plays exactly as it should. Stealth and combat gameplay is not as slick and sexy as say HITMAN™, but much better than say Alpha Protocol.

Sidebar: Roguey, what kind of degenerate would demand quicksaves in a co-op game?

It was my intent to play it entirely by myself. I don't work well with others.
Good decision then. The game honestly doesnt need quicksave, but playing it single-player would be a bit like watching porn for the story. Misses what's great about it.

I think this stealth game is on sale for the first time ever. Might buy it, but then you need friends to play.

Nah, it's on sale almost every big sale. I know because every goddamn time I look at it and think about it. Also thought about trying to rope a buddy into playing it with me but he's even less into stealth than I am and I'm not sure either of us would like playing the handler, so harumph.

Sounds like two Codex bros just found each other to play this game with. Y'all should really go for it, either together or with other friends.

From my steam review:
It's probably not the best shooter you've ever played, nor the best stealth game you've ever played, nor the best hacking game you've ever played ... but it's not so important in light of how well everything comes together. The co-op experience is outstanding.

I have played the game through twice now, with different friends, once as the Agent and once as the Hacker, and had a great time both times. If you think you'd be bored as the Hacker, think again as it is kind of your job to stay a step ahead of the Agent, open doors for them and turn off cameras before they get there.

That's what I was wondering. All info and marketing seems geared towards the coop which I don't care for (unless it is local coop).

Got to play it with the Codex bro Ninja Destroyer. I guess for 5 bucks it's worth it for the co-op experience, since it is pretty fun and intense at times (we are 3 missions in). But the janky-ness of the game, the graphics with the obligatory brutal Unity FPS drops kills the enjoyment a bit. I played as the stealth girl, John Wicking people while Ninja hacked computers. Now I have not played as the hacker, but it seems that the one that plays stealth girl have the monopoly on the tension and the action, not sure Ninja felt any, besides maybe from the frustration of trying to guide me around, blundering into cameras and guards :)

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
The multitasking is really enjoyable, and with each mission we are getting better at synchronizing our movement. Because only one camera can be hacked, it can be frustrating for Katya to move on, and she needs to be careful. The hacking is nice, although it's a very fresh idea, and at the beginning I forgot to move to the 'home' node to not being caught.

Of course there is some tension, I mean, I would like to finish the mission through helping. For the most of the time I keep peeking through cameras, looking on map and trying to tag guards who are near Alienman. At least the game is flexible, when it comes to style of playing, and you aren't forced to do only stealth, and go full killer as well. The hacker needs to be the one who thinks one step ahead, and can prepare the operator what to do next.

Also, I need to learn how to disable alarms :argh:.

One day I will be like JC!
