Let's settle this once and for all: Fallout 2 or Underrail?

Choose wisely

121 hours of Underrail on my first playthrough, gonna replay it in a few years. However I still think Fallout 2 is a better overall experience. There are so many more things you can do, the variety or of encounters is unparelled. The towns and cities are much more interesting. And it does not have the Deep Caverns ofcourse.

OP is a coward because he didn't put Fallout and Jagged Alliance 2 in the poll, only the comparatively shitty Fallout 2.

Yet Fallout 2 is still smashing Underrail to pieces in the poll, which must make OP buttmad.

Lilura was right again, lmao.

Also, OP only recently played JA2. He tried to criticize it, too. What a loser.

lmao

Underrail came out 16-18 years after Fallout, Fallout 2 and Jagged Alliance 2, yet it still cuts a poor figure when set against them.

But "let's settle this once and for all" says the retard OP, as if it isn't fait accompli.

lmao

Most of it backtracking at a snail's pace, lmao.

But you have never been known for good taste. Like luj1, you try hard and fail. And when you get called out, all you've got is emoticons.

All I've got now is laughter caused by your bitching out. Doctors say a hearty laugh is good for health, relieves physical tension and stress, leaving muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes. So I guess thanks a lot!

He might not have taste, as indicated by him wanting to get showered by a black geyser, but really, you're not one to talk about taste. I know not everyone can be a connoisseur like me but you're a total poser. You like adventure games and the tactical genre and that's about your area of expertise. You wouldn't know a real RPG if it bit you in your scrawny pretentious ass. It's only by your love for tactics and the wargame lineage of well-bred RPGs that you don't dive into complete nonsense and rate some decent games highly.

Let's put Arcanum in there as well. And Dark Sun too. And something else, eh?

I have very specific comparison in mind, and it is exactly Fallout 2 vs Underrail, not any other game you fucking pretentious cunt. You go parroting yours "lmaos" somewhere else, you are already worse than a broken record repeating the same shit over and over again.

You serious right now? I hate adventure games. You're thinking of V_K. We're opposites.

That's a pretty big "only", since I'm the most prolific commentator in history as it pertains to tactics/wargame RPGs.

Why not post a write-up, then? Instead of low-effort troll-poll.

2021. Underrail is losing to Fallout 2 -- 17 years its senior -- on a public forum in 2021.

2021.

Despite what certain Chinese women with inflated ego and small behind may say, this is not a troll poll. I hold both games dear to my heart and there are reasons for that. Fallout 2 is one of my all-time favourites, and I was looking for a game like that for a decade, no less. Not counting the closest relatives like Arcanum, Underrail and AoD are the only games that scratched exactly that itch and hit right in the bulleye. Comparing the two, Underrail excels in majority of the main components. Storyfag stuff outta the way first: what game has tribals, Chinese martial arts, talking deathclaws, big bad boys in black, Wild West town, porn business and such? There are threads about that on Codex, hell, even MCA admitted that the direction of Fallout 2 is fucked up. Underrail is behind Fallout 1, but obviously more coherent and less batshit crazy than Fallout 2. Combat, what we all like and always need: while Fallout did it first, Underrail did it right. You can't say with a straight face that Fallout combat system is better, because it's obviously not. Fallout is full of useless perks, underused skills and undercooked systems; and while JA2 got its 1.13, ToEE got its Plus version, Fallout 2 never got any major overhaul to ameliorate the shortcomings of extremely short development time. I have seen Jim the Dinosaur thread and fuck him for abandoning his mod.

Of course, Fallout 2 still stands its ground. It has companions, even if you don't need them; more memorable characters, awesome death animations and excellent artstyle, great soundtrack and sound effects, and great quests; and while combat is simplistic it's still fucking enjoyable like nothing else.

It's my own poll, but I can't choose one; so I vote Joe Pesci.

Furthermore, I consider that Trumpism must be destroyed.

Sure, you find some cheap ingredients in actual bins in Arcanum but there is no garbage shower like in Underrail.
So, you think you were so smart while you're the actual Trumpist...

But of course, you didn't argue at all so nobody can shove whatever arguments you don't have up your arse.

But imagine praising one when they are exactly the same in that regard.

I'd prefer to vote for Fallout 1. The comparisons are obviously retarded though because it's like voting for a wheel or a wagon.

How are they the same, explain?
Did you play both games?
You're saying Underrail and Arcanum crafting systems are the same?

They are the same in the way that you insinuated here.

Crafting feels more like dumpster diving and hoarding a pile of shit, Arcanum did it right

And..

He should play BG, at least the original, at least once. He should however not play PK. It could have been a decent successor to the 2002 Neverwinter Nights, was it not drowned by feature bloat, a trademark of the erroneous stretch goal model. Play Sid Meier games instead.
