Men do stuff and have characters while at the same time being sexy/sexualized.

The only character in ME2 that had a distinct personality was Mordin. Jacob/ Garrus/ Thane were literally "Miranda for girls".

Then the game thinks the audience won't help a woman in distress without some sort of sexual transaction happening?

I want my media to be maximally horny and I'm sick of the puritans working to prevent that being a reality. Simple as that, dude.

This is why Skyfall is dogshit and Goldeneye is cinema's greatest classic.

I've always preferred ME2's bad ending for just this reason. Skipping the loyalty missions not only allows you to avoid dealing with the neuroses of supposedly professional soldiers and mercenaries, but as a bonus, you get to see the whole lot of them die in the Collector Base. Harbinger did nothing wrong.

You wish to tell me you are completely satisfied with the gameplay in all 3 titles?

Fuck no, but that's what sequels are for. The originals should be preserved in as authentic a state as possible.

It has waifus and husbandos.

Honestly, the Vanguard Charge is probably the best waifu in any Bioware game, and possibly any rpg period.

You can completely remove 2 and the overall story stays exactly the same. The only thing you need to keep is the final DLC for 2.
I have no idea why ME2 is so loved. It has the worst parts of both ME1 and ME3 with the most minigame bullshit and consolization, while simultaneously not adding anything to the story.

ME 2's story is just a MacGuffin on which to hang all of the character stuff, which is perhaps the strongest in the series. I also like the addition of Cerebus (who complicate the universe in an interesting way), and the final suicide mission is well designed.

That said, you are correct. I've always thought ME2's overall plot was idiotic. Reapers are trying to make a giant human reaper? It makes zero sense and seems like the plot of a silly, 1980s, Saturday morning cartoon. It also has zero impact on anything.

Also, I know people will strongly disagree, but I think ME 3 is the best in the series, in terms of its plotting, resolutions, and pay-off of a whole fuckload of ongoing storylines. It really doesn't get enough credit for all the C&C that it carries over from ME1 and ME2. People bitch about the ending, but ME3, as a whole, is one, long, ending. It resolves so many plot threads before it even gets to the final confrontation that the reapers are kind of an after thought.

I've said it before, but the reapers are just a McGuffin. They are the excuse for all the character shit and drama, and as such, they need to remain mysterious. I really hated the redone ending because it over explained shit to the point that it collapsed into absurdity (the synthesis ending, for example, was vague enough in the original that you could interpret it multiple ways, but the extended ending depicts the idea of synthesis so literally that it's just silly). Which isn't to say that the original endings were great either, but I liked their vagueness and brutality. The first time I played it, my entire team was killed storming the teleporter, which gutted me. I later found out that was a bug, lol, but honestly, the redone ending where the game goes to great lengths to confirm that your team escaped alive just doesn't have the same impact.

My ideal ending to the series would have been doing a redo of ME 2's final suicide mission, where you have to assign your team to different tasks for the final mission, and your choices can impact their success. However, I'd have a certain percentage randomly die, regardless of what you do.

Disagree. The human reaper had a huge impact on myself and a buddy of mine since we couldn't stop wondering if it would fly through space like a giant evil Superman or what.

Hmm now lets be honest, no one here in fucking 2021 is even considering giving money to EA the soul less remaster crashgrab is just a plus in this equation

Exactly would not buy it and give EA shekels even if Amanda would walk naked* hole day Comrade, all this censorship and drama will give us more fun than any new EA bio-waste game will give us, there is no chance any game made in Soymalia and broader Oceania as even CD Project gone Kwanized won't be full woke diarrhea so carry on.

*Not that I would wish it to be honest, Miranda was really not marriage material all fake and sterile I almost** wish that my Shep did not slept with slattern he should wait for his chaste, honest and racyst wifu from first part.

** Almost My Shep was not Homo or Soyboy after all.

If it were up to me I'd give an award to whoever did this scene. Yes, it's clearly meant to influence the player's decision. If you can't see that then I don't know what to tell you.

I know I wouldn't

Women ruin every hobby they touch. The lack of gatekeeping has caused this.

Stop posting that image, it's pure false equivalency. Enforcing the importance of female sex appeal is rightfully considered harmful to those who wish to not be reduced to the role of prime brood mares (it might still happen regardless), whereas brawn is actually empowering, but unsexual (except to muscle groupies). Beauty can be powerful, but it's always power that is given by the eye of the beholder. Physical strength is power that is not given, and thus it doesn't diminish the muscleperson's agency.

The originals still exist if you are into that sort of thing. It's moronic to not try to improve the originals in obvious ways when attempting a remaster. Graphical mods exist for the originals, so the graphical "improvements" alone aren't worth it.

Three games plus all their DLC (minus one) for $60 is a discount, just not deep enough of one for your tastes.

I got ME3 for $5 shortly after release because it was notorious how bad it was. But even though I felt violated by the ending, I guess it kind of evened out because I liked the co-op multiplayer.

So He-Man supposedly doesn't set an unfair standard? I couldn't possibly pull off that haircut.

The majority of men I talk to look towards Goku and He-Man as people they want to be. Even if they can't have the superpowers they can at least try to work out and use these characters as an example of how to live a moral life. That's not a bad thing. Blokes want to look like He-man because He-Man looks cool. Pretty simple.

Women see Barbie and start with the bullshit about "unattainable body goals." which goes into the whole thing I've always said about women being conditioned to never take personal responsibility for themselves. It's always someone else's fault for making them feel bad. Even if you don't want to look like He-Man or Barbie it's nice to have toys that look good and not ugly. Same as any fictional product ever made. You want to look at something nice that distracts you from the real world. The only reason to make principle characters look ugly is that women feel bad about fictional people being prettier than them.

ME2 is the worst, both story and gameplay wise.
Plotwise, yeah. Yet in terms of companion interactions and side content, nah.

As for Citadel, while it was a sweet sendoff for the series, it could only have succeeded in the storyfag department due to its reliance on those characters which ME2 had managed to endear to the player.

The gunplay is also atrocious.

It's halfway between the RPG style of ME1 and action style of ME3, and ends up being inferior to both.

It's not "because it makes them feel bad", but because it can lead to eating disorders, depression, death, perhaps suicide. And I'm talking about both men and women. Bodybuilders who want to get "hueg" or "less than 5% body fat" or whatever have body dysmorphia, Rich Piana died like 3 years ago from his abuse of anabolic steroids due to this. It also leads to sexual extortion, both men and women who work with their bodies like this are subject to regular sexual abuse or are forced to go into porn/gay-for-pay type situations. Whether we should stop with the He-Mans and the Barbies to combat this is another discussion altogether, however, but that doesn't mean one shouldn't understand or know the arguments.

Obesity is a bigger health problem. Normalization of it is going to be a far bigger public health crisis.

If women are as malleable as people say, it should be pretty easy to make them all act healthy and toned. In reality, anyone taking this bitching at face value is retarded.

Like 75% of women could look really quite attractive if they just ate better and went to the gym to work on their body.

Same applies to guys.

If we exclude the possibilities of plastic surgery and cosmetics, even if a woman succesfully loses weight she might still not have the proportions of the mythical Barbie because of poor facial bone structure, or short legs etc. Yet almost any man with normal testosterone can become He-Man by pumping iron for a decade.
