Emphasis on the 'fantasy'. Magic may exist, magical monsters may exist, but the player himself can't cast magic. Any come to mind?

What's wrong with playing warrior class in Diablo for example?

No, but it has "magic": some things are so technologicaly advanced/alien that the scholars treat them as magic (instruction manuals are incantation scrolls, etc).
