If I were a fan of WoD I would completely ignore anything the current development team has to say.

she doesnt work for hardsuit labs. she works for the world of darkness franchise management team. shes the face of world of darkness community management for all of their products, retard.

Isn't HBS the obvious choice to replace hardsuit? Being situated in Seattle, famous for rpgs and all? We don't know what paradox has tasked them to work on for the past year, but still they seem more likely than any other outsourced studio. Especially with their hiring announcement the day hardsuit was officially fired.

That'd be awesome, really enjoyed their Shadowrun games.

The mainstream has been there and beyond.

What company do you guys think should replace Hard Suit Labs? I suggest Konami for some World of Darkness pachinko machines.

My best hunch at the moment is Splash Damage:

  • Significant industry experience and 1 shipped AAA current gen (PS4 / XBOXONE) or last gen console or PC title that featured extensive narrative content, worked on from beginning to end
  • Oversee work under guidance of an IP holder to further develop their existing franchise’s lore
  • Experience working with dynamic dialogue systems
  • The ability to take direction, and rapidly absorb and act on stakeholder, publisher and IP holder feedback

It's a nice thought, but Paradox's mention of a "studio partner" in their year-end report suggests that they're working with an external dev, not one of their in-house ones.

They should give me millions and the IP. I could make a masterpiece in two years for sure!

The best part is that you could blow all of those millions on cocaine and whores and the end result will be functionally no different compared to what a professional dev Studio did with their budget of millions.
Well, who knows what HSL were doing all this time? Maybe Mitsoda, Kaai and Cara got fired simply because they refused to participate in yet another crazy orgy with drugs involved? Elisson was the last one to leave tho, huh. Figures.

I'm just surprised more CRPGs haven't been made using WoD material. I mean, vampires and werewolves are at least kinda mainstream IMHO.

Both have been ruined to the point where even their mass appeal is finished. Werewolves are best as a plot device for murder mysteries with a Jekyl/Hyde element. Vampires are about Faustian bargains and everything around that. Both are unmistakably evil and to be reviled. I haven't witnessed any of these elements in media for a very long time. Rather than being creatures of horror that embody savage terror and existential dread, they are now a platform for inept degenerates to self-insert their perversity. Vampires and werewolves both been simultaneously sanitized and fetishized beyond recognition. Nobody cares anymore.

What did you expect? "Interview with a Vampire" was written by a woman who has several full-length BDSM porn novels behind her belt. And I mean really hardcore stuff.

One good thing about Anne Rice was that she was a full proponent of rape on her novels.

Too bad most of it was gay rape.

By the by, Codexers, her novels are living proof that a lot of women are into this kind of "entertainment", even if they vociferously deny it. About 50-60 percent of the "action" in her novels are either gay males or bisexual males with a sprinkling of women.

Her older erotic novels is basically 50 Shades of rape.

You have to wonder what took Paradox so long to realize this thing is a colossal clusterfuck, when it was obvious to fans nearly from the start even before all the leaks and drama started. I mean fucking hell, you could nearly hear wind blowing during development updates, it was always either big vague pile of nothing or Ellision yapping about some ridiculous woke shit.

They should give Wesp5 millions and the IP. Wesp5 could make a masterpiece in two years for sure!

LoL no,he is good modder, but he won't be a good at running a pyramide sheme of a AAA development studio.

LoL i would be ravaging whores and snorting white for those two year like a fucking animal! Also i will just hire Wesp5 and a bunch of other decent devs to make the game, maybe MCA too for marketing .....and drinking/snorting/whoring company . I will be dropping by the basement office once a week to take my bonus and whip the devs for stimulation. Also i will hire Spacer's Nugget as shitposter pr dude, will whip him to.....for funzy. By the end i am sure that i will be able to deliver a great successor to the Vampire franchise and buy a bunch of side businesses to diversify my income :smug:. Also i will post semi-erotic photos of whipped devs.

LOL! No, I couldn't. Patching up a game is hard enough, making something new is even harder! But as the patch is more or less finished now, I am helping EntenSchreck with the Prelude mod, which is a prequel to Bloodlines. Part 1 is already out and it's half old maps to give the Bloodlines feeling and half completely new maps which you never saw before! So for everybody longing for a Bloodlines fix, check it out! But beware, this time you will start as a hunter ;): https://www.moddb.com/mods/vtmb-prelude

I'm surprised that they even reached to this conclusion since Swedes lack balls. Things must've looked pretty grim for them to discard a whole studio.
The World of Darkness community definitely fueled this delusion. Nowadays it's full of degenerates who obsess over pronouns, shit on BL1 and suggest studios like Ubisoft and Gearbox to take over development.
It's sad that this game didn't come out in it's disgusting form. Some people need to be raked over the coals.
