They should give Wesp5 millions and the IP. Wesp5 could make a masterpiece in two years for sure!

FTFY

LOL! No, I couldn't. Patching up a game is hard enough, making something new is even harder! But as the patch is more or less finished now, I am helping EntenSchreck with the Prelude mod, which is a prequel to Bloodlines. Part 1 is already out and it's half old maps to give the Bloodlines feeling and half completely new maps which you never saw before! So for everybody longing for a Bloodlines fix, check it out! But beware, this time you will start as a hunter ;): https://www.moddb.com/mods/vtmb-prelude

Oh boy oh boy oh boy! :shittydog:

I've totally missed this. Thanks, Wesp5

Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I helped put crap in Monomyth
You have to wonder what took Paradox so long to realize this thing is a colossal clusterfuck, when it was obvious to fans nearly from the start even before all the leaks and drama started. I mean fucking hell, you could nearly hear wind blowing during development updates, it was always either big vague pile of nothing or Ellision yapping about some ridiculous woke shit.

They're Swedish. Not the brightest of bulbs.

I'm just surprised more CRPGs haven't been made using WoD material. I mean, vampires and werewolves are at least kinda mainstream IMHO.

Both have been ruined to the point where even their mass appeal is finished. Werewolves are best as a plot device for murder mysteries with a Jekyl/Hyde element. Vampires are about Faustian bargains and everything around that. Both are unmistakably evil and to be reviled. I haven't witnessed any of these elements in media for a very long time. Rather than being creatures of horror that embody savage terror and existential dread, they are now a platform for inept degenerates to self-insert their perversity. Vampires and werewolves both been simultaneously sanitized and fetishized beyond recognition. Nobody cares anymore.

What did you expect? "Interview with a Vampire" was written by a woman who has several full-length BDSM porn novels behind her belt. And I mean really hardcore stuff.
One good thing about Anne Rice was that she was a full proponent of rape on her novels.

Too bad most of it was gay rape.

By the by, Codexers, her novels are living proof that a lot of women are into this kind of "entertainment", even if they vociferously deny it. About 50-60 percent of the "action" in her novels are either gay males or bisexual males with a sprinkling of women.
I cannot believe women are into men.

It's the mechanics of the WoD setting that make studios hesitate. A pity, since the deep lore and shit is what makes the franchises unique.

It's known that most people, not just women, are aroused by violent sexual imagery. But a lady will not discuss such matters in the presence of menfolk, it could give them ideas.

I'm surprised that they even reached to this conclusion since Swedes lack balls.

They were taken by the proud fenno-ugrians.

The 18th of April 2019 relatively shortly after them announcing the game, i said this on the official forums :

"Well, if one wants to be the party pooper here, there is nothing to even remotely suggest that Hardsuit Labs is a triple A company. Their tagline of "we make great games".. no they dont. They haven't made a great game yet. Or indeed any game, much less games, plural. They were born out of the defunct Zombie Studios, which made indie games for 20 years before its owners retired and shut down the company. Games that were at best mediocre, and at worst, downright awful.

So the question isn't really their passion or dedication, etc.. but their ability to make a "great game" at all. They've never done it, and their pedigree is at best, very questionable.

I *really* want this to be a worthy successor to Bloodlines. Until i see the game in action, all i can do is hope really".

yeah.. hoping didn't do much... i am guessing that whatever new studio takes over is basically going to make the game over, more or less from scratch.

At this point I'm ready to give this game over to Ubisoft, out of all companies. At least THEY know how to successfully milk a franchise.

With ubisoft, you won't find any kind of entertainment either with the drama OR with the game.

I reckon Seattle is witnessing an influx of onlyfans accounts, and the sales of dildos are booming.

The best part is that you could blow all of those millions on cocaine and whores and the end result would be functionally no different compared to what a professional dev Studio did with their budget of millions.

Nonsense, those millions got paradox a ton of unusable, danger-hair spaghetti code. Terabytes of shit looking art assets, and mitsodas soggy OJ simpson wanking glove.

You really think Paradox got rid of them because of too much woke stuff? Is this serious post?

Whatever we get next will only be worse.

If I were a fan of WoD I would completely ignore anything the current development team has to say.
she doesnt work for hardsuit labs. she works for the world of darkness franchise management team. shes the face of world of darkness community management for all of their products, retard.
Exactly, everything recent in WoD is shit. I know some people hated the "new wod" series for whatever reason, I personally think it was good, but the revival of the original VtM is a disaster.

Of course they are, you just need to be an immortal mysterious rapey gay looking guy.

Easy peasy.
It's not like immortal 6'2 178IQ billionaire super models such as myself fuck anything less than fantasy waifu material, I don't see why you plebs should fantasize for anything less than someone like me.

I guess last year Paradox finally understood that the project isn't going anywhere. The game was in development for several years and the gameplay they showed back in 2019 looked like an absolute dogshit with terrible combat and broken AI. It was worse than Bloodlines.

Considering that Mitsoda and Cluney were friends I assume they were both in charge. And Mitsoda in charge is bad thing. He can write but I can tell by Dead State that the game's size far exceeded his small team's capabilities. The thing is 100 hours long (Fallout was about 30 hours at max), but you can tell their strength and enthusiasm ended in about 1/3 of the game. The fact that he planned the game to be this big without thinking whether he can finish this or not and maintain quality throughout the whole thing says something about him. I guess Cluney wasn't much better at this.

I assume last year they already decided that the game is going to be given to another developer and since Mitsoda and Cluney weren't needed anymore they were fired. I doubt Hardsuit will want to keep them around considering that they got them into this mess. After all, they had to give a half of the company to Paradox just to keep the project on float and it was all in vain.

Subsequent hirings had probably nothing to do with Bloodlines, or at least not with its development, but rather to estimate how salvageable it was.

The funny thing about Bloodlines 2 that nobody realizes is that the last time Paradox shitcanned a third party project this hard was Magna Mundi and its lead developer suffered from schizophrenia. Read up on it, its not just amazing that someone at Paradox had any sort of faith whatsoever on the project their patience with it was a thing of legend.

if the new dev wants to regain my trust the first thing they need to show us is a model of jaenette. if they downgraded her rack we can safely throw the game in the garbage can. if they stay true to the source material and even give her her old outfit back, i’m willing to give harebrained schemes or cyanide or whoever will take over a chance. what hbs did to damsel still makes me butthurt

Only devs I could trust to finish this and it being still worthy of playing would be ELEX ones. Everyone else forget about it.
