I'm starting to see what people mean by the grind. When you get the 20th new character joining at level 1, it does start to grate more than a little bit.

If I remember right, you can adjust the absorbed special items. Basically only for those who do the NG++ spiel. Or autists.

To answer my own question, "Talent" is indeed a shitty translation of "Growth rate". Now I have no idea what they translated "Growth rate R(are)" (成長率Ｒ) but I am sure it will be spectacularly stupid.

Still no idea what Cool(ness) and Sexi(ness) does. Probably nothing?

Custom Characters can get white skills that give them buffs if they fulfill a quota of Coolness/Sexiness on their gear, I can't remember the specifics because trying to gather a gear set that actually fulfills the quota is ass

Lol, it's actually pretty easy to win. Crook has 3 revives (2x status restore, 1x full revive), so just res him after they kill him and you got Sachiko to guard the party. If Crook runs out, just use Sel, who also has these three revives.

I just realized that Status Restore is a revive...
But I beat it after 2 tries with both Sachiko and Kou (both with Initial Guard) in the party and Crook with full revive in case of bad luck.

It's a small questionnaire that can be done in under 5 minutes. The last questions are what titles you would like to see them license. At this point the unreleased Rance games seem inevitable - Rance IX/X have a slowly moving presence on their "Project Status" page - but if there's any other titles from Alicesoft you'd like seen (or any other titles in general) you can suggest them here. I think this is where they realized there was a market for a release like Evenicle. Also, you could just say Rance X to let them know there are people waiting on it.

Agree. This games deserves one for the writing alone.

The plot in the game is perhaps not very strong, but amn, it does deliver some lulz.
It also has it's fair share of feels. I'm close to meeting the "Dancer" in the forest mission. Not sure if I can take the moe.

I'm not that far in, but it reminds me a little bit of Mass Effect 2.
Weaker overall plot, but a lot of interesting smaller stories and characters to interact with. SO many characters from all the older Rance games

can't say I've ever had much interest in the generic epic rance plot (kingdom x is in turmoil, rance steps in, leaves with having fucked the conflict into resolution)
quest consisting of funny little episode would've been perfect, if the gameplay wasn't so annoying
