I watched the trailer. Didn't know about this franchise. Adult perversion is fine, but why would anyone want to play a horror game with all of that baby stuff involved. I even felt more than a bit weird taking the shotgun to the demonic babies in the first Doom remake.

Going by the pre-release gameplay videos it looked like a Frictional Games style walking sim. AKA, garbage. I haven't actually played it so I could be wrong (not worth the time to pirate) but that's the impression I got.

It was bad because the over the top edginess didn't lead anywhere, the levels and characters were ugly, animations were completely off etc. It basically devolved into cheap looking garbage. As for Frictional Games, Amnesia wasn't a walking sim. There were quite a few puzzles in there.

I played Amnesia and it was a walking sim. Having a handful of "puzzles" that are just walk some more, grab items, walk back, install them in machine to pogress, doesn't change that.

this is their other game that they're working on, the direct sequel to Agony called 'Succubus'.

game looks like trash but I do applaud their efforts at being unbearable edgy! This time around you can see the titular Succubus beating up pregnant women and then ripping out the fetus and break its head so she can eat it to regain health ( lol lol), also you can fuck damned men with button pressing mini-game:

Y'know, I don't really think it is that edgy in the modern world. Considering both what abortion is and how common in the real world it is this is nothing. Mothers paying to get their children murdered and sold as product on an industrial scale? Now that's fucked up. A succubus punching a pregnant woman and eating the baby in a fictional setting? *yawn* That's not even going into how that's okay by conventional current year clownworld morality. Not worshipping niggers is a mortal sin and dead babies are funny, that's the zeitgeist.

Anyway, my point is that this old edge is so outdated, the Kali Yuga has passed the mondblutians by and it all seems so quaint now. There's no shock value to these things anymore when it has been a part of normality for so long.
First Scorn, now this. Everyone shamelessly ripping off Giger.
Scorn was pure Beksiński, not Giger.
Why was Agony shit?
The level design was shit. The devs said they wanted to make playing the game sort of freeform and encourage exploration but what it meant in practice was that levels were dark, directionless and confusing while at the same time the game was linear and in the same style as Penumbra or Amnesia.

The target audience didn't find the gameplay compelling, which is why they're making this new one a brawler. The original was about exploration, solving mundane puzzles and avoiding demons. For the genre those parts were alright actually.

it would be funny if *feminist* game journos criticized Succubus for the baby-killing when they are constantly tweeting about how eMpoWeRinG it is to get 27 abortions.

It had a sanity meter and you had to find oil lamps for the lantern. It had a boring start, but it did get better when the monsters started to show up. SOMA, Firewatch, Dear Esther - these are straight up walking sims, devoid of any mechanics beyond walking from A to B.

I'm sure they have already done so, but Lord knows I can't be arsed to look it up. It's really immoral to depict scantily clad womyn in video games, slightly less so to depict demons punching and eating babies, but slaughtering babies and being shameless whores IRL is great and progressive!

It's all so tiresome.

Maybe our standards are different. To me such sparse gameplay doesn't make it not a walking sim. And the monsters were mostly just "go here while the monster is scripted to chase you at this exact distance" or "hide in the one only obvious hiding spot" or "run at the monster, die, and autoload but now the monster is gone".

Not something like Thief where there's some actual gameplay involved in avoiding zombies/haunts/etc.

Loverslab has a mod for Fallout 3 that includes ripping uterii from living women and eating them.

Do we have an erotic games thread? Looking for something not retarded (and preferably not anime). I.e. something better than pornhub-tier quality.

That is, if you don't mind talking about this subject with urmom?
