SWKotOR was the only RPG with "cinematic" dialogue that I could stomach. It wasn't 100% voice acted and the number of dialogue options was kept on a respectable level. Later this exploded into literal movies with constant cutscenes and binary/ternary choices. There is some potential here, and it's always awesome to see classics getting attention.

it actually has an enhanced graphics mode with support for dynamic area lights and PBR materials.

one autistic guy can get more done in a few months than companies doing ""remasters"" can in 3 years.

it's perfectly legal assuming a clean-room implementation. It's just a program that happens to function approximately the same as the original. You still need to obtain a copy of the original games to use it, as it contains none of the assets.

I guess maybe due to the video it wasn't clear to some people: It's not a remake. It's just a rewrite of the engine the games run on.
But, it should allow the games to be modded much easier. And parts that weren't moddable at all before will be now.
