I guess there's more than one version of the game available for purchase because my wishlist only shows me the more info tab rather than the buy button for subverse. There goes that particular way to circumvent my beloved government's bs :/

Studio FOW apparently wants to start streemster or whatever it is called, their own distribution thing as an alternative on the 28th. But I don't think I trust a brand new service with any kind of payment or other type of info...

No keys available on the reseller sites yet either, it seems.

Why aren't you able to buy it? Did your government ban it?

Some 2019 bullshit the Bundesmedienanstalten pulled is responsible, it seems.

Steam is forced to either establish a "strong" age verification system (so our gov can push their online ID bullshit, and of course it's never ever enough and the requirements just keep increasing over time) to be able to sell unrated mature titles or the games themselves need usk18 ratings or some such iirc.
Porn games which come without the porn part by default, where you have to download an extra patch from the developer website (steam adult dlc is also banned) are unaffected (so most Kagura stuff and such).

Steam apparently decided not to bother (or maybe they're working on a solution) and just won't let anybody access the store pages of affected games from Germany. They also cracked down on VPN use apparently, though mine works without issue... I just can't use a non-German IP for unrelated reasons.

Aside from gov trying to get more control over people and the 'net in general, this is mostly the Bundesmedienanstalten being on their usual powertrip... Or maybe they're running low on bribes and want more.

I wouldn't call it fascism, but anyhow... The relatively young country of Germany is built on it and you can't get it out of the people at large.
Lots of comments from gamers here that Valve should just cuck and do whatever German gov wants and they're totally not okay with children having easy access to porn etc.

Back when I was an active weightlifter a lot of the higher-ups in our WL system and some related politicians were seriously discussing that since you can't control drug-testing in other countries, all olympic athletes should just be forced to live in a central Island in international waters or some such without much contact with the outside world for the duration of their olympic career for easy testing by the world anti doping agency and to make it hard for drugs to be smuggled in.
Quite a few athletes I know were in favor. Think about that for a second.

Played for an hour this seems to be the edgiest game I have ever played. Swearing and some smart ass comment in each sentence.

Space combat is shit
Turn based combat might be decent
Voice acting and animations are fine/good

Think I might wait for full release still need to start Troubleshooter

Audio during cinematic cutscenes are sometimes little bit off and actual video is little laggy, and no option to have subtitles during those is kinda strange. But voice acting was great, humor was lovely and space combat was alright. So game is really promising overall.

From what i've read on steam forums, current early access release is like 10-15% of content, maybe 3-4 hours gameplay. Only 3 sluts to fuck. Dumb humor and filler dialogue. If you want you can just watch the short sex scenes from this game somewhere online and spare yourself the trouble of playing shitty shmup\mobile xcom clone to get to them. Or watch some overwatch porn or whatever.

Definitely not worth even pirating right now. And i doubt they will finish it in 12 months with this turtle pace development speed.

Well I've basically maxxxed everything there is to maxxx in 5 hours of this Early Access. You get enjoyable though straightforward turn-based tacticool combat and twin-stick SHMUP sequences to fill that time, plus 26 sex scenes across 3 characters. Compared to the overwhelming majority of Early Access porn games, this is a thick stack of content. However, considering the game is going for a "wide but shallow" approach to both gameplay and sex, in my opinion there is not enough girth to justify the price.

Firstly, the sex. Your assessment of it will depend on your tolerance of animated porn and the usual quirks and ugliness in its rendering. Overall, if you are used to the occasional jagged edges that result in the game's AA solution being unable to keep up with its breast physics, or peculiarly low-poly vulvas - things any patron of animated 3D porn will be very familiar with - this is, in my humble estimation, some of the best content in the genre. While not every scene is as lengthy and tantalizing as some of my favorites, there is a good variety, and both voice acting and sound design are top notch. There is little in the way of interactive features that would make this content best experienced in-game as opposed to viewed elsewhere, but there is much flavor to the characters outside of the pornographic sequences that may entice one to enjoy the product in its totality as opposed to partaking in the peepshow of the digital age.

However, there are several WIP or possibly castrated features that cage the growth of arousal one may experience playing Subverse. Outfit customization and a lewd gallery of sorts are both TBD. More peculiarly, the so-called Pandora system is a hot mess right now. I've written out a detailed explanation and subsequently deleted it because it proved far too technical and esoteric, but in short, it is not the "porn director experience" promised, and is instead a poor and puzzling scene selection menu.

The writing mostly consists of sexual puns that are occasionally funny, but is surprisingly clever in a lot of ways. However, the way it is paced will turn a lot of people off. It does not, like many porn games, have you sit through hours of grinding an exposition before you get to see what you've paid for, but the issue is that Studio FoW has put together quite an ambitious script full of characters, satire, and dank lore and is eager to thrust its meaty pride in your face. As a result, going on a plot-critical mission may result in 15 minutes of back-to-back cutscenes sandwiched by extended dialogue sequences that often bear no direct relevance to the action. The story will often jump between characters a galaxy apart from each other, from a cast that is already huge at this point in the Early Access, resulting in a story structure that, while never hard to follow, is quite bloated and keen on breaking up the sex and gameplay for extended periods of time.

Still, as pornographic games go, this one is one of the very few that offer competent gameplay to match its well-made sex scenes. Yet it must be noted that Subverse is only able to keep a grasp on either aspect as both are relatively lean - don't go into this expecting TRPG-tier turn-based combat and Honey Select-tier character/sex customization.

With the full roster of characters, sex scenes, and features this has the potential to be the most content-rich and well-rounded porn game to date, but as others pointed out it all depends on the speed and priorities of its development. For the night last I have seen two dreams, and in one I beheld a gilded future, where one could edge forever and still not exhaust one's muse- yet in other I saw a once-promising abomination, its heart of gold choked with cancerous filler. And still I hold these visions in my mind, and I do wonder.

Yeah, I've got coworkers in my Steam friends. Guess there will be no degenerate filth for me.

Pathetic. Play it on your main account and don't forget to review and post screenshots so they have no choice but to acknowledge your superior gaming tastes

They long since disabled the VPN region changing trick sadly. Your account is tied to your payment info.

So is this game good or should I just wait until the porn has been uploaded somewhere and just watch that instead?
