Not sure why would you consider Caesar's Legion to be evil

Asshurt to the point of having violent fantasies and even posting them on the internet?
It's not just violent fantasies. I think slavery supporters should be killed.

Have a nice day.
Very good, chaver. Keep in mind that it will require some collective action though))

I don't support slavery though – as I said, it's not economically viable in the modern age, as you'd just be creating unemployment in the poorer stratas and bringing their wages down (why would the city employ garbage men if it could have slaves do it for free, why hire a gardener when you can just have your slave do it, etc.). I'm contesting the notion that slavery is somehow a mark of universally evil system, when slavery was heavily employed throughout history in civilizations and by people that have advanced the sciences and culture and that we generally look up to. If ancient civilizations aren't your cup of coffee, then know that the founding fathers in the US have been slavers (most notably Jefferson, for example). Legion in New Vegas posits itself as some neo-Roman LARP, so of course it utilizes slavery, just like the Romans did. That alone would hardly be enough to make it somehow universaly evil (otherwise, all the aforementioned civilizations would be too).

(putting a de facto pause to the practice until America was discovered).
no.
You might want to read up on the byzantine empire.
Slavery in Byzatine empire became rare during the early middle ages, and was generally phased out over time, in large part due to the influence of christianity. My point stands. Of course, for the sake of completeness, one should mention that places outside europe (African tribes, Barbary pirates, etc.) continued to utilize slavery even after that, but I find them to not be entirely relevant.

It was because they were getting their shit pushed in. The slack was quickly picked up by the Venetians and Genoese.

Ahh it all depends on the time. This days it is not much of a thing. But back in the day it was pretty viable and good economic thing. Also it pretty much made sense in the fucking game. I was surprised that the other factions didn't used it lol. But in the end the whole franchise was made by libtards that wrote about what they knew, aka glorious california. Nano ,me boy,you will look glamorous with a collar .

At the time when slavery was becoming rare, Byzantium was still something of a superpower, and would remain so for centuries more. Besides, getting their shit pushed in didn't stop others from practicing slavery, so why would it do so with Byzatinum? The causes were that slavery wasn't entirely compatible with feudal system (which Byzantium gradually, though never wholly, started adopting over time) and because christianity decreed it decidedly immoral (and Byzantium was very religious).

If you don't know see a point of treating a work of fiction like a work of fiction that's not really something I can do anything about.
What I am trying to say is that you can pretty much put an equal sign between Romans and Caesar's Legion, despite the latter being a work of fiction, considering how much they take from the actual Romans.

Similarly to how Empire of Man can represent good in WH 40K despite genociding entire planets simply because everyone else is even worse.
The Imperium of Man does not represent good. It represents order. It's not the same.

Caesar's Legion is the best ending for New Vegas. The entire structure of New Vegas should've shown everyone that the Legion was needed. There was zero fucking safety unless you were a high-powered tribe under Mr. House's rule. Look at all the chaos and squalor. New Vegas will eat itself under any rule other than Legion's.

Mr. House's idea to live off the NCR is kind of foolish. Not sure how it'll keep working when the NCR will fall at some point. After they fall, what will Mr. House do? His economy will be in shambles... and the NCR will fall at some point. They're being held by fucking floss and chewing gum on their Eastern front, and they have no intentions of stopping their expansion to the detriment of their interior states.

By the way, Mr. House getting rid of the BoS was very much needed. I think that's one of his better ideas. They're a fucking nuisance. I'm not sure why you would want them hanging around. They're going to be hostile to anyone carrying technology so they can hoard it. Any ending where they're shattered is a good ending. People also forget about figures like Elijah. Look at his ending for Dead Money, and their ultimate intentions, IIRC, was to turn on Helios One. They're an evil faction under all that medieval glamor.

"New Vegas is more than a city - it's the remedy to mankind's derailment. The city's economy is a blast furnace in which can be forged the steel of a new rail line, running straight to a new horizon. What is the NCR? A society of people desperate to experience comfort, ease, luxury... A society of customers. With all that money pouring in? Give me 20 years, and I'll reignite the high technology development sectors. 50 years, and I'll have people in orbit. 100 years, and my colony ships will be heading for the stars, to search for planets unpolluted by the wrath and folly of a bygone generation."

Mr. House's plans for New Vegas are not dependent on a perpetual influx of cash via NCR tourists and gamblers, only on a temporary phenomenon allowing Mr. House to harness the technologies of the Old World and create a self-propelling advanced economy, which will then transcend the technologies that existed before the war.

You are too focused on the tiny portion of personage that reap most benefit.

Focus more on the overall society.

If NCR win, for one thing, the railroad connect Las Vegas to NCR interior. The farmers will migrate faster to Hoover Dam, grow more crop, export food wider. It's a good thing for society.

NCR repeatedly shows throughout the game that they have no regard for the citizens of the mojave. The only person that cares about the citizens of the Mojave is House because he has a vested interest in the Mojave.
Humans never stopped being tribal animals, and even if we pretend it's not true, we don't care about other tribes as much as our own.

Contrary to popular perception, Common people dont actually NEED their overlord's good intentions. They just need the good result from the policies.
If the villagers can farm in peace, harvest their crop, enjoy their hard peace... what do they care that a king is beheading nobles's head like chopping wood~
House care about mojave people? Who tell you that joke? House, right?
I remind you that he choose to raise tribals who eat humans in their casino because humans are delicacy, not because they are hungry.
This is not a onetime deal, but repeated often. House doesnt care about the rich, let alone the poor, in Mojave.

Also Brazilian: DONT compare your ramshackle government with the young shark that is NCR. You are gilding the pill~

NCR is set to evolve into today's California government and society, and therefore deserves getting nuked. Any path you take is better than siding with NCR.

Guys I wonder if we could start a discussion on the merits of the various factions in The Outer Worlds? I've been told it's at least as well-written as FONV so we should be able to have a lovely in-depth discussion, just like the one we're having here.

Here, let me kick the discussion off: I think that um, the er... Just a moment, I need to Google the factions because I can't remember any of them, ugh this is embarrassing

Ok I looked at the faction list on the TOW wiki and I don't recognize who any of the factions are from their descriptions so I think I need to replay the game, I must have not been paying attention, oh this is really awkward... Just carry on and forget I said anything
