Yeah, it's abndonware. A decent abandonware too. Everyone should get it and have fun.

ok, which one of you is RetrospectiveGaming? I can't believe that someone outside of the codex actually found and reviewed this game.

I found this guy a few months ago. He is a modern gamer convert who goes through the history of RPGs, plays and reviews them. His reviews tend to be a bit dry, but his heart is clearly in the right place.
And he most likely learned about the game from The Codex. Link to this thread is in the description of the video.

I remember playing this through the CRPG winter of 04 or 05? It was ok. The devs penchant for permadeath was pretty annoying though. He refused to budge on that, in spite of plenty of people asking him to make an alternate option. There was another game around the same time that caused a bit of excitement, Prelude to Darkness, but it was full of crash and freeze bugs, and I never got very far in it. I still can't believe how fucked that time was for CRPG's, coming right off the highs of the late 90's/early 00's. Thanks for tracking this one down guys

The version available here is the one where ironman can be turned off. So you can enjoy the game in its final shape without fear of randomly dying (which happens a lot, encounter table is fucked) and loosing all progress.

can you save the mind controled people in the power plant, can't remove their helmets - tried killing the reptoid, but they still continue attacking

what is the gasoline canister for, someone mentioned all the cars are out of gas - can you find a working one

found a rope with a grappling hook in a random encounter, can it be used somewhere

Lots of old-timers are abandoning the forum, it's a bad sign.
Not that I blame them for what seem to be arbitrary bans, even more arbitrary word filters ala Something Awful, and so on.

Does this game work in W10 or Linux? Unlikely for either, but you never know.

Damn, what timing! Had no clue that happened. Did something piss him off in particular or is he just busy with life?

Would have liked to hear his thoughts on the game as its developer. Eitherway, I wish the best for him.
