All the Enhanced Edition characters felt like characters from a mod. A well-made mod, one where there's nothing technically wrong with it, it just doesn't fit into the game at all and I'm forced to use it if for some reason I wanted to play the Enhanced Edition.

The best offense is a good defense.

No, typical Beamdog trash forced in your face. When you meet him, he repeatedly insults you and threatens you and the only dialogue option is "Leave." Probably to discourage players from gutting him like he deserves. So I force attack, kill him and grab his stuff... and guess what, few hours later, an encounter where he is happily killing bandits. Those inept cucks did not even put in a check if he is still alive in the initial version. Not surprisingly, the only option is to side with him against the bandits. Want to pick the lesser evil and join the ordinary highwaymen instead of the lawful evil blackguard? Nope, fuck you, who are you not to want our awsumz charactorz. You can't really stay out of that fight either. Also it is scripted so he wins, I tried buffing the bandits instead and no dice. So you pretty much have to take him (no objections from the goody two shoes party, naturally) to kill him second time. Only for the bastard to spawn again in the next game. I probably had enough exp to level up just from killing Dorns.

He is only good for showcasing the typical "quality" you can expect from Crapdog.

I'm playing SoD for the first time, presently. While I'm overall enjoying the dungeons, NPCs are by far the weakest aspect. The new ones are try-hard and terrible, with perhaps the exception of Baeloth. He actually works. Slightly overdone, but in the spirit of the originals, for sure.

No. It's very difficult to put into words the feeling I get when a big burly bisexual black man half-orc randomly initiates dialogue and plainly states that he wishes to ravage my asshole all night long. I suppose the blame is on me for wearing the Ring of Human Influence, but still come the fuck on.

Also lets not forget the fact that Beamdog made all their characters retardedly overpowered to not so subtly manipulate you into having them in your party, having to subject yourself to their abysmal writing.

He is, thus, the one not to make it into BG2 (we are thankfully spared the turds from SOD, especially that fucking gnome).

Pathfinder: Wrath
I like him. His quests are also well done. What I don't like, however, is that he's overpowered and he is better than Shar'Teel as a two-hander specialist. The irony that he's written by a "woke" company but he's bisexual and a demon-worshipper is not lost on me. Beamdog managed to cram in every possible stereotype about everyone with their new characters tbh. They dabbled in orientalism with Rasaad, they made the bisexual a hedonistic cultist, the lesbian a literal predator, etc. But I digress. Dorn, yeah, I think he's the most complex and real of the new additions, especially since you can influence him in many ways. While I like Bealoth as a concept, he's not so much a character as a walking circus/setpiece.
