Noctis IV, if spaceships count.
It's No Man's Sky but actually good, removing all useless features and keeping only space travel and planet exploration. Surprisingly beautiful in its way and relaxing.

-Xenus 2 - White Gold

Wish someone would just do a remake of this to fix all of its glitches and that accursed last level (but keeping the janky translation in). Nothing else in the market comes close, not even the Far Cry games.

Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead
Zombie survival game.
You get to design your vehicle.
There is a detailed survival mechanics.
You could live like a hobo and turn your vehicle into a mobile home.
Open world.
Able to exit vehicle.

Also:

-Build foldable vehicle (motorbike), store it inside the base for agile exploration, you just need to mount the wheels to ready it.
-Want a greener solution? Carry livestock inside your mobile home. Find a good parking spot and explore on horseback.
-Add flotation part to turn it into an amphibian vehicle and explore rivers/islands.
-Use drive-by-wire and remote controller. Ambushed by an horde during exploration? Have your "car" come and save you.
-Use cameras and window screening to be completely invisible to anyone outside. Everything is automated and centralized, obviously.
-Have enough floodlights to turn night into day in an half a mile radious.
-Realize you went overboard when you installed those 12 tanks, since the fuel from 4 (240L) is more than enough. Raid a liquor store and get enough booze to last you untill the end of time, which isn't far anyway.

And in no particular order, since CDDA is best gaem evar and it deserves max publicity:

-Food processing, from butchering to cooking to preservation.
-Defeat robots, reprogram them and deploy them as needed.
-Gunporn, customize attachment, proper cleaning procedures, load your own rounds.
-Cybernetic implants, have a sword or a full welding rig in your right arm.
-Mutations, do all of the above playing as an animu spider gurl (I suppose this should sell the game to someone).
-Functioning dildoes (this should cover the other half of the someone)

Agree.
In many other games https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88e3vpFmebw this scene is just a cutscene.
Dead Reckoning(the truck) will just be a press E to switch character and viewpoint.
then press left mouse button for MG right mouse button for missiles.

In CDDA that scene is gameplay and Dead Reckoning is a vehicle that has internal space for you to enter and comes with all the functionality.
The one minor problem of vehicle in CDDA is diagonal limitation, but can't find a better vehicle game with better survival details.

Eh, you never truly lived untill a Dissolution Devourer enters a diagonal tile of your mobile base while doing some turns. Granted, some mechanics have been implemented to prevent that and nowadays I regularly build vehicle with max 3 "boardable" tiles, still bothersome, I agree.

Like a chemistry lab, a kitchen, a full mechanics workshop, an autoclave (who could live without one in 2021?!?) and the true mark of the post-apocalyptic gentleman: a towel hanger!

In any case, sorry for the hijack but CDDA is so awesome I cannot wrap my head around why it isn't more popular. Sure, the learning curve is steep but man, the things it allows you to do in game are awesome, insane and uber creative.

That russian space game The Precursors that looked like it was made by wacky but talented & ambitious modders had all manner of vehicles you could drive/fly to explore with. Boiling Point had a shit-ton of vehicles you could drive or fly. However, the game didn't seem to really want you to explore too much too early, I think, because I remember as soon as I got my first flyable aircraft - an awesome one man helicopter - and was shakily learning to fly it, you'd get a considerably awesomer helicopter with expert level AI pilot spawn nearby to instantly cornhole your ass with 50mm cannons and rockets. It was probably their version of "invisible barriers." The message was clear: don't go over there until we want you to go over there. Capisce?

Nobody recommended Titan Outpost yet. Shameful.
