Putting the 'role' back in role-playing games since 2002.

  • Welcome to rpgcodex.net, a site dedicated to discussing computer based role-playing games in a free and open fashion. We're less strict than other forums, but please refer to the rules.

"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

What if we split the Codex into two sites: RPG Codex + Political Codex?

What do you think about splitting the politics out to a separate stand-alone website + forums?

This is simply because there's far more content in politics. It's not every day that a discussion-worthy game gets released, and even if one does, the topic soon gets exhausted after a couple days at most. Politics, on the other hand, you have new shit happening all the damn time, there's always new stuff to discuss, and it's why there are so many posts in the politics subforum compared to other ones.

Talk about contrived controversy, the admin didn't even use a sock. Users are voting in his poll just because he's the admin. What we have here are the typical bunkerchan creeps weeping over nothing at all. This is current year plus 7, nobody uses internet forums except basement dwellers. If GD bullshit is such a huge deal... bump the post count to enter GD to 6,000,000? Take buttons away from everyone who hasn't subscribed for a year, or reached 6,000,000 posts, and you'll also see the pedos and children leave. Forums are already dead, splitting this one is an absolutely retarded move.

This. Politics is basically soap for men. More entertaining and cheaper than most games too.

Political Codex would be way too obvious a target for the Woke Cult, RPG Codex has (mostly) avoided subversion or cancellation for this long by going unnoticed.

So, DU is preparing to finally flush the turd that wouldn't flush?
:incline:
The only risk I'm seeing that void this creates may make the 'dex structurally unsound at this point.

Also, not sure about actually needing that split-off forum - /pol/ already exists.
At most just set up a site that reskins and serves forwarded /pol/ content.
It's not like most /gd/ denizens are bright enough to notice.

You could make the new site have a front too. Make it a "professional wrestling" forum or something. This would also benefit HHR in having a cover for looking at pictures of nearly naked men.
