luj1 I don’t really even like Kingmaker that much, but I don’t think it warrants a list like this.

Amateur ! There's a lot worse Lionheart : legacy of the crusader never raged so much on black isle forums , then i met like minded people there and that drove me.. to the rpgcodex. If you dont define this as bad , nothing will. Ultima 9 is a serious contender too.

Fallout 3 is probably the game I hate the most since it completely shits on the lore of my 2 favorite games ever. Objectively though bethesda games are dumbed down trash but far from the most offensive games I've played.
If fallout 3 was called like Capital apocalypse instead I wouldn't have thought anything of it.
Ditto for Oblivion and morrowind, I dislike them but they're functional games, but more akin to medieval grand theft auto then an RPG.

Worst RPG'S i've played: Lionheart, Metalheart replicants rampage, Konung 2, Harbinger(crap diablo clone), Revenant(crap diablo clone), Might and magic 9, the ishar series(some of the first rpg's I played), Thunderscape,

Maybe not the worst game but the worst gameplay, worse then oblivion or any of the bioware games. Worse then diablo 1-2. Dungeon siege, that game had the most low effort shit gameplay for a dungeon crawler. Only game I've actually fallen asleep while playing.

Fable 1 gets an HM for being so hyped and delivering so little. Probably not the worst rpg ever though.

I've never played fallout 4, skyrim, any new bioware games after mass effect 1. So I can't say how bad the mainstream games have become.

Outer Worlds gets a special mention from me. Probably not the worst game again but just the overall design is so unappealing. Also I feel like people only praised this game to shit over bethesda for fallout 76.

Lionheart and Harbinger were considered shitty back in the day, but stuff changed so much that I'd much rather play them than stuff in the poll. Shit then > shit now. Harbinger actually had some nifty ideas and a ton of charm. If I were to list a game from that period it would be Dungeon Lords.

Cyberspunk is an RPG?

It's neither an RPG nor cyberpunk, but I wanted to include it anyway. Skyrim or Fallout 3 aren't either. A very small fraction of what gets called an RPG actually fulfils the format. You may treat this thread as being about games you hate the most.

Out of your list I've only played Fallout 3, Outer worlds and Tyranny. While I dislike the dumbed down consolized gameplay of OW and F3, the level scaling, the stream lining, the quest markers, retarded stories ect. Those are at least functional as games, albeit designed as dumbed down products for the masses.

Being honest, I'd play any of those games a dozen times before touching might and magic 9 or lionheart again. Or god forbid metalheart.

Fallout 3 and 4 are the only games on the list that really annoy me. Everything else has some mark of quality or is at least inoffensive, and Skyrim for all of its faults is one of the most popular games ever made so I won't bemoan people who enjoy it and want to discuss it. Mass Effect: Andromeda is obviously putrid shit but nobody likes it, so people would only talk about it to make fun of it. Can't comment on Torment: ToN since I didn't play it, so maybe if I had it would piss me off as much as Fallout 3 does. Kingmaker obviously doesn't belong anywhere near this list btw.

The only ones that I find really offensive in that list are Outer Worlds and ME: Andromeda. ToN also annoys me, but in some ways there's nothing really wrong with it.

If I were being strict about muh RPGs, I suppose I'd have to add Skryim, FO3/4, DAI, and Cyberpunk. But those are either moddable into better games or they have other, compensating charms (like having okay combat or being moddable into porn sims).

The rest (POE, Tyranny, Bumdog EEs, DOS and Kingmaker) are good or good enough games, and they shouldn't be on the list.

PoE and Outer Worlds aren't relevant for anything and therefore don't need to be mentioned (unless talking about the disaster of kickstarted games, but there are enough ways to paraphrase PoE that its name doesn't need to be mentioned)

I wish Skyrim would just go away as the only good thing we ever got out of it was memes

my last pick was DOS as I believe Larian is a pretty good company if you imagine their only game was Divine Divinity
