Beat Kai Lang so hard the game broke. I guess nobody tested the Omega bonus powers on that boss. They just needed to give him 1 point of armor. Instead, I was able to use Lash/Throw to keep him permanently ragdolled while he shouted lines at me about being too slow.

Had to reload and be careful to not do it when he needed to run away and recharge. Otherwise he just ended up permanently ragdolled and the mission wouldn't end.

Also, I'm sure the other characters have similar lines, but Freddie Prince Jr.'s delivery as Vega in the temple where Liara is trying to reject the notion her goddess was just a Prothean was pretty funny.

Take Liara and Javik there for the best dialogue.

Although annoying to have to reload a save and redo a fight, infinitely kicking Kai Leng's ass sounds cathartic. They should've added that as a bonus mode DLC.

I also want to add that Omega DLC is the biggest garbage. It was horrible.
The cost was too high, but at least it gives you a biotic power that works on shielded enemies.
Neither shield nor armor shoul stop a biotic or tech power i the first place. The game had hardening in armor as something to counter this.( and Damping as a power enemies had too, guess to complicated for the audience they hoped to get with the second game)

The porn mods for Legendary Edition are slim pickings so far. Only one appears to go all the way, and even then it just removes the croches from some of the models. I expected at least one mod with a character going full nudist, with or without an enhanced body.

I've seen the "enhancements" mass effect porn mods add and not sure if want.

Enhanced, not endowed.

I've already said this, but I think it's becoming more evident with every passing day:

in hindsight, Beamdog snatching the Baldur's Gate license from WotC before BioWare could try anything funny was a blessing in disguise.

Aria was written by Mac Walters and she's his favourite character.

When one wears their fetishes on their sleeve.

Who's your favorite Mass Effect character? Let say, one male and one female?
Female is Aria for sure. Love that she's such a badass, but still manages to bring order to chaos.

Yes, Aria was one of my all- time favourite characters to imagine and write.

"Imagine" I bet.

Have one thing left to do: the N7 setting in the combat simulator (insanity difficulty).

Every enemy having shields, armor, and grenades has been a problem for my Adept that doesn't use guns. The defenses invalidate most biotic powers.

When I read the description of a "mirror match" I thought it would be a walk in the park. Just fighting an Adept/Garrus/Vega team. Instead, it's fighting dozens of Shepards from all classes. Seems like a missed opportunity to have you facing off against an Ashley/Kaiden/Saren/Nihlus team.

Made it to round 3 a couple of times after switching to defensive armor. Tips welcome. Probably going to swap bonus powers and try again.

Those fights are some of the most fun in the entire series. ME3 had surprisingly good third person shoota combat.

Alright Daidre I'm not gonna go as far as to say I want my 5 bucks back because I got some measure of enjoyment from the game. It isn't as bad as Outer Worlds, but the gap between the two games isn't that large. ME:A has semi-competent skinner box-ian gameplay systems that make the pillars of exploration and combat somewhat enjoyable, in a very popamole way. But a skinner box can only hold your attention so long, and this one starts to lose its luster quite quickly.

It doesn't help that the other aspects of the game are utterly awful. The writing is terrible, the characters are mostly either forgettable or obnoxious, and there are many technical aspects that are a shambles - less of a shambles than they were on release perhaps, but still a shambles.

Once you realise that you truly do not give a rat's ass about anything that is happening in the game story-wise, the other pillars start to feel pointless.

And make no mistake you would have to be a fucking braindead vegetable to care about anything that happens in this game.

This quest in particular is typical of the game's approach:

  • You have a bunch of idiotic protestors whining that they have been separated from their families. This has happened because the station has gone through tough times and is hugely limited on resources. Note that they complain no matter what decision you make earlier regarding military vs science (another 'choice' that has no impact on the game at all)
  • They refuse to understand that the station can't just wake up everyone who has a family member, because everyone will fucking die if the station runs out of food, oxygen, water, etc. Instead their attitude is I WANT MY FAMILY MEMBERS REVIVED NOW.
  • This shouldn't even be a debate, but as a Pathfinder (kind of like a Spectre) people expect you to wave your magic politics wand and get their family members revived. If you tell them they're being retarded they basically threaten to commit terrorism.
  • No matter what your choice in this quest, it has pretty much no consequences at all. If you choose to revive the extra family members, nothing happens - the station doesn't run low on resources, nothing.
Citation just in case some idiot comes in here and claims I'm making this up:

Everything about this quest screams that some woke zoomer came up with it and thought it was a real moral dilemma. It made me want to punch a baby in the face. And pretty much the whole game is like this.

As I've already stated, the other gameplay pillars, while not as flawed, cannot carry the game alone.

So this game is getting uninstalled and I will never play it again.

Saying that just last year would have had you lynched by the neckbeards.

Yeah, many quests reflect abandoned aspirations by the design team.

All the same issues and worse can be said about DAI, but that got GOTY and a bunch of expansions and got sucked off by the gaming media.
