I've played up to Downtown twice now... Interest petered out both times. I play VTES weekly now, so figured I'd pick it up again, but I remember having trouble in combat because of the "must move mouse to click again" bug. Maybe it was related to turning off vsync, I dunno. I couldn't easily fix it last time and gave up.

When I saw what Basic patch was turned into I decided to play vanilla. I did play it back in 2004 (and many times over the years with the patch and without) and I still think it's not as buggy as some retards here claim it to be.

Cain in the very final cutscene of the game (with Jack) was added in by the "patch", right? I don't remember it being in the original game.

No. I only restored additional lines from Jack there, but of course just for the plus patch ("Threw that sarcophagus out there and they just tore each other up tryin' to get to it." and the two lines about the player).

It wasn't janky in the eurojank sense, it was just annoying to play. With 4-5 dots in stealth you could bump into an aggressive npc while sneaking and they wouldn't notice you. Light didn't matter, you could be in the middle of headlights and 2 feet directly in front of the npc and they wouldn't spot you. It really was more like a very professionally voice-acted Visual Novel.

This got me wondering, Wesp5 , purely academic question here, do you know if it would be possible to animate a full sex scene with Jeannette in the Source engine? Or a scene with the female PC and Romero? I think it was your patch that added a lapdance from VV that wasn't in the vanilla, so while we're on the topic of c00mer mods, I was wondering what are the limitations when it comes to adding new animations in the game?
