The name is kinda funny for me, since in Swedish "Säregnar" means "Odd ones, weirdos" so the title "Call of Saregnar" means "Call of the Weirdos" for me

i watched this new trailer and the first thing that came to my mind is that old bards tale-s would look great with this art style and probably this engine.. just cant stop thinking of it.. i probably overreacted..im gona watch it again, yep. im convinced that this is how our bards tale should evolved..

Been meaning to get around to trying Betrayal at Krondor for a while. Does it hold up? I'm a storyfag so as long as the plot and roleplaying is good I can excuse dated controls and combat mechanics.

Story-wise, it holds up terrifically well. But also, the game systems are still pretty great. The biggest hitch might be the graphical resolution, but it is never unplayable. Just, uhh, charming.

The one thing I think aged pretty poorly is the overmap terrain--it's just plain green angles/planes like an early 90s educational game or something. The splash screens for towns, dungeons, and other environments all look really good though.
