Metroid Prime with the original tank controls on a gamecube controller for maximum immersion

I never really liked the Wii rerelease with lightgun controls or the M+KB controlled Prime Hack emulator, because the faster controls kill the vibe of the game for me. It's not a twitchy FPS, it's supposed to have a heavy, slow, claustrophobic feel, which only the original gamecube controls make possible.

Yup, I've played both MP1 & MP2 as "vanilla" GC versions, controlled by gamepad and had a blast. After that I've tried the Primehack and was like "nah, that's not it".

Finished Zanki Zero. What a great DRPG. Simply superb. An absolute joy to play from beginning to end. Lengthy too, took me around 112 hours to beat. Yet again I may have taken too many screenshots. 2262, haha!

Pretty cool fight. One party member got injured and couldn't move anymore. Ended up wiping the entire party.

See this? It's a shadow man. These guys have caused me a great amount of grief. They can't move, they only teleport. They won't teleport as long as you look at them. Turn your gaze away for a second and these motherfuckers start teleporting around like there's no tomorrow. Lost the back row many times to these assholes teleporting behind the party.

Good game. I'd rank it slightly above Yakuza 3.

And some extra-curricular dungeon diving (literally diving) in Dragon's Dogma.

One of the best Beholder portrayals in gaming.
