Rendering takes CPU time. My CPU time was last upgraded in 2010. It is a strong CPU, a big CPU, it has three CPUs in one, but its battery is slowly running out.

multiple requests to the same url will only be downloaded once on a page load, and that's assuming it isn't already cached.
loading this page as it is right now only takes 47.4kb(861.3kb requested) of network traffic

you have to explicitly disable cache racing on shitfox or it will still attempt to download cached resources btw, go to the about:config page and search for 'rwcn' and disable it
