So I was just thinking I'd like to play a Restaurant Manager game. The last one I played was Pizza Tycoon aka Pizza Connection. Surely in the meantime there were some good, new games in the genre released. Anyone got some recommendations?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I tried a couple.

Tastemaker is pretty simple but it's a fun game, has a nice flow to it. Order ingredients, hire staff, design a restaurant, sell food. Also make sure you have toilets or people will shit on the floor!

Chef is a more complex restaurant sim with recipe creation and stuff, and it's a lot more challenging to get a cashflow going than Tastemaker (it has no guidelines on how to price your dishes so you gotta make a guess what people are willing to pay and what pays your bills).

Last I checked, Pizza Tycoon still ruled supreme in terms of both depth and width of features.

Chef is solid. The recipe creator is pretty grunty too (and if you have half a clue about cooking you can make stuff much much better than the pre-made menus).
